Instead of an option it should be an optimization. A chest should be flagged as single item until two different items are placed in it. It stays flagged as multi-item until the last different item is removed.

Overlapping rail signal positions

Sometimes when rails cross the position of rail signals is ambiguous, that is the position looks like it could be for more then one track. If a signal is placed at that position it only controls one of the rails. The problem is you have no control over which rail the signal will control. Screen Shot...

Bauer’s solution is the best.

But for completeness converting from red to green: use an arithmetic combinator with each + 0 = each, red wire in, green wire out.

All mods are up to date only your and Py mods and required/optional Bob's mods are enabled, specifically Angel's are not enabled.

I tend to go green just for the challenge. One thing I do is turn off power to idle parts of the factory.

I’m building my biggest base yet, 1 science per second, small by most people’s standards here. Belted (yellow mostly), minimal bot usage, controlled power usage (turning on/off modules with accumulators for isolation not night power), steam for night power solar for day may add nuclear.

The belts are not running anywhere close to full speed. Most of the time both are stopped.

16.51 Spliter without filter is filtering

One of my red splinters is being fead a belt of solid fuel and a belt of coal and is outputting a belt of solid fuel and a belt of coal but no filter is set. A fully compressed belt of solid fuel is being fead into the splitter on the left and also output on the left.
