Re: 3 and 4 way intersections
I'm back once again with a new roundabout. :D This one is smaller than hansjoachim's Parallel split medium but has the same score and the same spacing. Without the circuitry the throughput of the intersection will fall drasticly. I tested it with unsafe outputs/exits because this intersections has ...

I also had this one, managed to get 1:50, 2:39, 3:48, s:46 with optimal exit blocks. 0eNqdm9tuIkkMhl9l1Ncksutc3O7VPsNqtCJJa6Yl0omAjCaKePdpwnCMm7b/uwDhw/hcLvPRPCzf2tdV12+a+UfTPb7062b+30ez7n70i+Xuuc37a9vMm27TPjezpl887x6tFt2y2c6arn9qfzdz3n6fNW2/6TZdu3//54P3//u354d2NfzD8Z2Pb6tf7dPdJ2DWvL6sh/e89LsPGjh3j...

Re: 3 and 4 way intersections
There is this other junction that was made after Koub made a thread about rail spacing. The goal was to make a 32x32 junction for it to be chunk-aligned. This is not my creation but it was the result that was choosen.(i think it was from hansjoachim)The rail spacing is 6 tile too, there was unsucce...

Re: 3 and 4 way intersections
Could we add the rule that all images and blueprints must be attached instead of 3rd party services please. There is a post character limit so we wouldn't have enough space for all intersections. We have backups so it's fine. If you mean replies i don't see the problem with factoriobin also i don't...

Good stuff guys! It's really heartening to see this carried on! There is so much spirit of invention in this community that I have no doubt this this thread will generate a lot of discussions/innovation, even my old thread had a lot of activity long after I dropped off (thank you to everyone who pa...

Re: Testbench for 3/4way intersections
Would you mind publishing a version that can function without creative mod substations? It works without creative mod. It makes the display more cluttered with more substations. If you want to use it without creative mod, just place down some normal substations powering the display. I added the cop...

Re: Testbench for 3/4way intersections
v4.2 New score added to the test because of the new intersection forum. viewtopic.php?f=194&t=100614
Also added a mod that makes lamps that are off darker. Makes the display more readable.

Does somebody still have the bp for that behemoth?? The link to the past bin is not available anymore. Sadly This is the one in LHD I was trying to compare the pictures, I think this is the same one.. The BP button wouldnt link correctly (BP string too long maybe?). String below. https://pastebin.c...

Re: 4-way intersections: Throughput and deadlocks [image heavy]
Sorry if this has been answered somewhere in the past 35 pages, but does anyone know if it's possible to use this to test intersections in a one-way system? I have a city block base with a downtown-style one-way system, so would like to test some intersections with traffic flowing southbound and ea...

Re: 3-way intersections: Throughput Compendium [Image heavy]
is there a specific test for deadlocking? or is it just an educated guess based on signalling? I've used the v4.1 test bench If an intersection can deadlock it should deadlock on the testbench. Unless it support U Turns as U turns aren't tested. Sure, call it an educated guess:) The only test can b...

Re: Testbench for 3/4way intersections
V4.1 released
Many visual adjustments, it looks much cleaner now. Kano96 made those suggestions.
Added info on the map to explain the display.
Fixed test breaking bugs, just some errors in the circuit logic.
Removed the fake set 3 for 3 way. There were only really 2.

Re: Testbench for 3/4way intersections
Hey all! I made a major update to the UI and added support for 3way auto testing.
I think you should all check it out. You can download it from the top post. Please tell me if you have any problems or any suggestions.
The 3.x.x UI was terrible so 4.0 should be a major improvement.

Re: 3-way intersections: Throughput Compendium [Image heavy]
Nice:)
The blue ones have no purpose, the only thing they do is forcing larger gaps between trains since trains have to wait longer before they merge. Why do you want to have them there?

Re: 3-way intersections: Throughput Compendium [Image heavy]
Nice, I like that you made an intersection from scratch! The testbench is made for 2-4 trains so your intersection isn't easily comparable. What I can do is help you with the signals. The ones marked with red need to be chain signals. The ones marked blue should preferable be rail signals. The top c...
