Re: Can't get signals to work for a simple intersection

I'm not sure how to do that, sorry.

It's only "No Pathing" upon leaving the unload station. When driven to the remote end, it can get back just fine.

Still No Path with all signals as described.

Re: Can't get signals to work for a simple intersection

Ok, I have the little white boxes now that let me put signals on both sides.

So for this intersection I need 8 regular signals (2 on each side) and 8 chain signals farther back?

Still getting no path.

Can't get signals to work for a simple intersection

https://image.ibb.co/efUKP7/signals.jpg One or both of the trains on this route keep going "No Path". It's a simple intersection, with two trains that run forward-and-reverse between outposts and my base. The tracks are highlighted in different colors, indicating that they are different b...

Water Well

I don't recall what settings I have on my current playthrough, but there are HUGE areas with no water available. Piping it long distances is kind of boring, and in some cases impractical. A "drill to aquifer" well that is large, consumes a substantial amount of power, and is at least midwa...

Re: Friday Facts #187 - Space science & 0.15 graphics

Yeah, it's 32 bit. I checked. I fried my old motherboard a few years ago installing new RAM and this was an old tower from the office that was actually an upgrade graphics-wise. I'm conservative with my money and don't lightly spend $500+ on a computer upgrade. Factorio, the Paradox Cities game, and...

Re: Friday Facts #187 - Space science & 0.15 graphics

Okay, thanks. I guess I will continue my existing game of 1.14, then. Maybe in a couple of years when I do a big system upgrade and finally tackle the Linux migration (thus breaking a bunch of my favorite old games, unless I manage a triple box system) I'll be able to pick back up with Factorio 1.1 ...

Re: Friday Facts #187 - Space science & 0.15 graphics

Wait, what is this about? Is 0.15 going to stop being compatible with XP? I don't want the game broken on me! There at least will not be a 32bit executable. I'm sorry, that doesn't clarify anything for me. Will Factorio 0.15 run on Windows XP, or do I need to set Steam to not update it to avoid a b...

Re: Friday Facts #187 - Space science & 0.15 graphics

Cheesus freakin crust. It's like you're releasing a standalone expansion pack / sequel at this point. I was gonna ask you if you could a release a "Last XP compatible version" branch to steam (Age of Empires 2 HD has something similar) that people like me can use when they're occasionally...
