Re: Storage chests, what's the point?
"Local relay" is not what the OP asked, I think. I also do not think that anyone with a hefty time in the game has any expectation to (or rather has resigned themselves from) being supplied with material no matter where they are in their base. What mostly happens is that they either have b...

Change to the oil pump graphic
I would like to propose a correction to the Oil Pump graphic from the current model seen here: https://eu2.factorio.com/assets/img/blog/fff-206-pipe-entities.gif to remove the rod that protrudes from the rolling head of the drill. There is no rod attached to the moving head in an Oil Pump. The head ...

Stack inserters are imbalanced! Have you ever seen a real factory using mass inserters? Nor have I. Keep the inserters fast, but they should all pick up only one item, not 7 or 3!

But many people dread starting bases from scratch without bots after they got some experience with the game.Pascali wrote: [...] Noone has startet playing factorio because of the bots do all thing alone...
And again, if you don't like them, stop using them, problem solved.

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
Why is everyone trying to remove a part of the game that they do not use? I don't get that basic premise! All the people arguing to remove the bots are the same people that are not using them! Keep on not using them please and let the rest of the people that want bots continue to use them. Arguments...

what's a loader? A belt feeding directly into a factory? An extra entity serving as an interface between belt and entity, essentially replacing inserter?

This blueprint doesn't seem to have anything connected horizontally;

Is that intended? If not, the blueprint is corrupted.

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
Possible belt buffs; general theme, do much more in the same space Belt multiplexer: End tier upgrade allows multiple belts to stack "vertically" on top of each-other so that more than 2 types of materials can go on one tile of belt. There would be a structure to combine multiple normal b...

[...] construction bots + laser turrets is broken OP too. get rid of the 3 tiers of belts and give us some belt speed increase science to research. Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
This will probably not be a very well liked idea but if I was in change I would do the following. Bots wont try to fulfil a request unless the bot can make the entire trip on one charge (Roboport -> Chest -> Chest -> Roboport). So bots wont even try to fulfil requests that need to move items from o...

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
Why does the game need to be bots OR belts? Reading up on the threads here, I see that people that dislike the bots do not use them and are happier for it. So problem solved; if you don't like the bots, don't use them. But do not remove an aspect of the game that so many people want to use. Imagine ...

Re: Quick replace belts to splitter / underground - one-way
We have been told that if we want to get things changed in Factorio, we should be downloading mods. So everyone that feels, like me, that the fast replace rules in 0.16 have gone a bit over, and splitters or undergrounds should NOT be replaced when dragging, go and download the mod from the original...

Re: [16.3] Existing Underground Belt/Splitters Replaced on Drag
Thank you for this mod. I've downloaded it, making it the FIRST mod I feel is a must, for 0.16 at least. And I never even installed a "far reach" mod! This is how strongly I feel about this new fast replace mechanic.

Re: [Rseding91] [0.16.12] Multiple filter slots on storage chests don't work
Does that mean that when we place a filter in a chest, all slots in this box will be drawn with this filter? Or if we want more slots to be filtered, we have to set it ourselves, but it can only be of the same filter?

ok... I'm a little late and all t-shirts are gone... and I expect even an hour would have been too late, not a week...
However, I have yet not searched the forums, just wanted to also add that I want a t-shirt so keep making them. If they sold out, that means there is demand... so bring us more!

Is this the wrong time to say that pumpjacks do not have a rod attached to the head, that protrudes like it does in these models when the head is in the topmost position? That it is most usually a high tension cable, and that is why the head is shaped with this curve, to always have the cable be ver...

Re: Friday Facts #203 - Logistic buffer chest
According to the wikipedia entry, the best memory would be the DDR3-2200, which has the best first, fourth AND eighth word timing of all memory types. Is that a correct way to look at it? Further complicating the issue is that DDR3 is "better" than DDR4 in this regard, and furthermore weir...
