Re: Friday Facts #243 - New GUI tileset
One thought: The use of any font that has the same character for small L and capital I should be avoided. The Tittilium font fits this description. I would encourage you to change this, if you can, or choose another.

Re: Toggle logistics on player
This could even be combined with https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=58610 in terms of offering two check marks in the player logistics screen, one for my suggestion, and another for this post's suggestion, whereby it would stop your own construction bots from working (and thus you c...

Toggle logistics on player
This is multiplayer related only, as it needs the player to die for the feature to be useful. Single player mode, you are dead and you reload. Multiplayer you respawn. When the player respawns, he is immediately serviced by the logistic bots trying to service his requested items. However, the items ...

Only item ingredients are automatically sorted in recipes.

Re: [0.16.28] Train position indicator on signals is slightly off
The way I read the signal mouse over picture is that on the upper track, only one thing fits (so only an engine) and on the other two tracks, two things fit (an engine and a wagon, or two engines). That is why you are clipping. Wagons will also trigger the train block and thus the signal.

Re: [16.3] Existing Underground Belt/Splitters Replaced on Drag
Thank you! This will be my very first mod to download after 300 hours of Factorio. Fast replace splitters and undergrounds with belts is just wrong. This mod is 100% required to play. Thank you!

Re: [0.16.26] Priority Splitter based 1/12th splitting.
Exactly, this is the same end result, the point is to see in the code if this is the same root cause now :) But it certainly looks to be very connected with the cart unloading report made, and makes no sense (if not a bug) design and operationally wise. Splitters introduce a "lag" in the f...

Re: Logistic Buffer chests - why?
I've had problems in the past that a buffer chest might solve... Basically i had wood set to auto trash, and wanted to then use that wood to fuel my train network. So, you have the train stop request 2k wood, set your auto trash, and go cut some trees. But once you build more than one train stop yo...

Re: Logistic Buffer chests - why?
They are also handy for seeder factories. You know, the part of your factory where you build structures to expand. - Connect circuit network between inserter feeding into buffer chest and said buffer chest. Inserter active only when everything <40 - Buffer chest set to demand 400 of that type of it...

Re: Logistic Buffer chests - why?
They are very usefull to prevent loops in the logistics network. if at any point you have a requester chest output to a belt and a provider chest taking from the same belt, your bots will start moving items in an endless loop. replace the provider chest with a buffer chest and make sure the request...

Logistic Buffer chests - why?
Hello all, I do not know if I'm alone in my puzzlement, I may very well be alone in this. I do not get the point of the logistic buffer chests (buffer chests from now on). I never remember needing them when I was playing before, and I still do not see the point in them now. Use case 1 : Player reque...

Re: Factorio Port for Nintendo Switch?
Switch is too small to run Factorio. Anything BUT a starter base would drop in UPS too fast. We have all see our bases start to drop from the 60UPS to 58 and 55 and 53 and we know what the point is and it is never enough. My next computer upgrade is going to also have CAS10 RAM which is almost doubl...

Re: [0.16.22]backpressure glitch (?)
So? If one end of a splitter is not blocked, it should not block the input at all! I was watching the animation closely, and the right side (as we see it) of the belt input and output of the right side of the splitter is always free. As such, inserters 4 and 8 should never be blocked? Maybe that is ...

Re: [0.16.22]backpressure glitch (?)
But there is nothing blocking inserters 4 and 8 and they are always free to insert steel on the belt! I do not understand why these inserters are going off sync with their "brothers". Can anyone explain?
