I'd love to see quickstart with robots (basically what you've written; personal roboport + armor + fusion reactor + 50 robots) in the core game - not for "special gameplay mode" but rather normal start. After enough time you get tired of building everything by hand in the early game.

Accus and solar panels are very well optimized. Bots are OK. Belts are not. Remove all belts for performance and it should be ok :)

Why is Factorio development going so slow? Why .15 was so delayed? The main reason as I understand it is lack of 3d artistic workforce. Learn the hard way, it's more fun and you'll understand the game better. Then look at others' builds but only look and inspire yourself, never copy.
