Re: Friday Facts #201 - 0.15 Stable, but not really

As for "game save early warning", I run EvoGUI. I think the best implementation would be a litte countdown timer to the next autosave on a display similar to that in EvoGUI. Something like: "Auto-save will happen in 5 seconds, press <TAB> to continue" While funny, i do not think...

Re: Version 0.15.31 - Not a fan

I like some of the graphical changes to the .15 version but I am not a big fan of the added complexity. IMHO the game was already bordering on tedium and already took too long to complete. Extending the technology requirements and adding more modules has pushed this game beyond fun and exciting and...

Re: Development and Discussion

... - I for the life of me can't figure out why I'd use the sorting chains that produce slag when it's so easy to setup the slag-free chains (and have trivial control of the relative yields of each ore). Maybe the yield of the direct production chains should only be ~80%? ... Yes, there is rarely a...

Re: Friday Facts #201 - 0.15 Stable, but not really

The main issue i've got with the autosave is, that it sometimes feels, that my GUI input isn't committed. F.e. I try to place an inserter, point to the destination and click and go to next position and ...., but it didn't happen, because autosave interrupted it. It could be possible to show up the a...

Re: Bugs & FAQ

Sulfuric Waste Water can be obtained in large quantities, if your using Clean Coal to Coke recipe and using Coke or Coke Pellets to feed the steam engines. I did it for just the carbon and coke requirements in electronics and smelting without the steam engines and i have enough sulfur so far. I play...

Re: Bugs & FAQ

I once tried this, too. Direct insert from Sorter to normal furnace with normal inserter. It worked somehow, but not very stable. I'm not sure what you mean by "somehow" or "not very stable" - the inserter will pick an arbitrary item from the sorter that is "allowed" t...

Re: Bugs & FAQ

Smelting 0.3.6 appears to have broken my early game sorting setup: I was relying on being able to have a sorter output to a bunch of furnaces directly to not need filter inserters, but now that smelting base ores requires a stack of 4, the inserters get stuck holding the wrong item type since they ...

Re: Development and Discussion

I don't know if this is a problem with Angels or Foreman as this is my first time producing Tungsten plates but Foreman crashes when I try to enter a fixed rate for the powder mixture to plate recipe (the image parameter is null). Further investigation reveals a lot of crashing on different recipes...

Re: i outproduce slag.

You should use the recipes for sorting, which produce no slag.

f.e. : 2 crushed jivolite + 2 crushed saphirite -> 4 iron ore

Re: Bugs & FAQ

Ok. Well I upgraded my game to 15. now im getting this error which it's complaining about infinite ores error2.png it may be a missing mod I dont really know a solution, but: You could try to install a clean 0.15. preferable via standalone zip and install all mods with latest version. Then try to l...

There is the mod, which may help

I used it one time in 0.14 after a big mod update and missing recipes and it helped me out

I think, I read something about this problem if the auto-barreling is used. I have it disabled and no problems so far, even with the ferric chloride canister

Re: Guide: Seafloor Pump & Mud Water

BTW: Thanks for the guides. I'm trying myself (because thats the challenge...), but now I know where to search for hints :) (The thing with feeding back the excess mud to the chain i got to try to avoid creating tons of landfill) I honestly don't think my guides remove too much of the challenge fro...

Re: Guide: Seafloor Pump & Mud Water

I'm really paranoid on updating (although I didn't account any major problems so far) - I have the game installed as zip standalone. - Everytime a new update of base game or mod are available i create a copy of the whole thing (or better: a sync to my backup folder) - Then I update and check. - Some...

Re: Development and Discussion

How the hell do you get mud? I looked over the recipes and it looks like a circular dependency list. Everything that gives mud uses some kind of mud water which eventually needs mud... The seafloor pump is the starting point. I like the washing process somehow, because it adds another source entity...

Re: [Mod 0.14/0.15] Logistic Train Network 1.3.2

A fine example of "x will be enough" being proven wrong once again. When I expanded the normal 18 slots a constant combinator has to 50 I didn't think anyone would pack 50 different items in one train. Turns out I was wrong. I'll check how to best migrate existing constant combinators to ...

Re: [Mod 0.14/0.15] Logistic Train Network 1.3.2

Great mod! Today I encountered this error: ltn_error.png It happens, when my construction train is arriving an LTN Requester station (with no request yet), which I added as stop to automatically travel there. The train has ShuttleTrain Equipment and is an Angel's Crawler Train, if that does matter. ...
