I have wanted this behavior in the past. I also want "Q" when hovering the hotbar to put the item on the cursor. I think the latter is something, which will come sooner or later. IIRC the devs said something like that somewhere, probably a FFF I indeed misunderstood it. and the comparison...

Stupid question maybe (Mac newb), can you have multiple standalone installations on mac? There is a dmg file, which lets you install factorio the usual way, but is the a zip version for mac? You could just duplicate the factorio application and launch both copies of the app, however they will confl...

At first, I don't have this problem playing on Linux. But I'm playing an XFCE with regular XServer. Sway and wlroots are working on Wayland. I also tried factorio on Gnome with Wayland and didn't have this issue. But, maybe something with sway or or wlroots is fishy... Do you have a chance to try a ...

iOS has a special way to handle hotkeys, coming from Windows/Linux
Maybe you have rebound ESC to something else in system settings, which is handled with prio.
f.e. if I press Command-Q, factorio quits. I can't rebind it in the game, if have to free the combination first in system settings.

This is similar to the idea, that if there is no beer in your refrigerator and you click on a button, then beer will be delivered. :D Maybe it works for some people; I think very few people would understand that. Okay, I fixed it, but it's such a weird issue, I'm not sure how to even feel about it. Having my 8bitdo controller plugged in, in nintendo switch mode, as the first controller, completely destroys my steam and, by proxy, Factorio gets really finicky as well. Well, strange.
