This bug should be fixed now, and we're releasing 0.12.14 just now. ... it looks that the world is not yet ready for LTO :-)

Thanks for the report (and all the ones I marked as duplicate :-) ), these problems should be fixed for 0.12.13. I changed our build to use link time optimizations, but it looks that the toolchain still has some bugs :-). In this case it caused the 0.12.12 to immediately terminate after an exception...

I think this might be two unrelated bugs at the same time. The stack trace looks suspiciously similar to https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... =7&t=17208 duplicates.

Thanks for all the reports. This problem is caused by some of the optimizations in zipped package loading. On windows this problem should be solved when 0.12.11 is released, on mac updates between 0.12.9 and 0.12.11 will be broken and will require manual download.

Thanks for the report, I didn't expect Linux machines with disabled IPv6 :). In 0.12.7 we will be using two separate sockets.
