Single core?
Why is factorio required to run on a single core? I have been looking into the depths of the of the fourms the past week and I can not seem to see why. From what I have picked up every thing in factorio is an object. Ore, parts, buildings, (individual bullets or maybe just the clips with a bullets a...

Re: Best way to kill a lot of biter nests?
Tower creep can be discouraged by a 30 second boot up after building. Infinite weapon upgrades (each one adds 5-10%) would be nice for clearing 1000's of nests for endgame factories. I also hate the fact that killing nests causes evolution. Also spawn rate should be continuous and MUCH MUCH slower. ...

Car and Tank upgrade
Please make the car and tank machine gun up-gradable to a flame thrower. After dumping endless clips of ammo into larger bitters these vehicles feel pretty worthless. This would help bridge the gap between tanks and power armors with exo-skeletons..

Re: Hand Crafting Speed Module
Personally I think hand crafting needs to be slower. Make it equal to the tier 1 or tier 2 assembler.

Re: Rough weekend
Thanks for the tip on the armor. I played around with 1 fusion reactor, 3 laser defenses, 2 MK2 shields, a battery, and a personal robot port(stocked with plenty of repair kits). Holy hell I feel like I have just discovered GOD MODE. I got my rocket parts up and running yesterday. It went pretty une...

Re: Best way to kill a lot of biter nests?
I set 1 laser turret just in agro range. Then take the tank and run over the nests. Guns seem worthless and do next to no damage but man it flattens a nest like nothing. Avoid running into the big mobs as they can stop you flat in your tracks

Rough weekend
So this has been an interesting weekend. I finally got a blue science pod factory set up to my liking. Took about 5 ties to get everything the way I wanted it and while doing so I saw some ways to improve my green pod factory. I attempted to clear out the creatures in my pollution cloud so that I wo...

Re: Energy efficiency vs production rate ballance
I had seen that on the wiki but I noticed somethings don't have a drain so I was unsure if they meant they had no power off or they used no power when off. I got my 1 to 1 green assembly plant done. My only problem is my circuit card maker likes to hiccup as it sometimes runs out of resources and th...

Energy efficiency vs production rate ballance
So I am a new player and I have managed to get my Red and Green Science production in a place where I am fairly happy. I have tried a couple things. All on one belt processing, 1 in 1 out and not sure what to call the last one but lets just call it parallel pools. All on one belt worked really well ...

Re: Steam power energy conversion efficiency?
Coal plants are about 56% efficient I believe (coal -> electricty) but they use supper heated steam.
