Well it certainly feel different from the usual grassy/sandy background. Adding walls on the perimeter give the illusion of an actual factory building with the ceiling removed so that we can see. 3 Friends of mine and myself played 5 hours straight and had not a single crash, desync whatever. Just a bit of lag, but that is due to the crappy internet connection from one of us, so yeah!
As far as I remember, this is the most stable .0 release I have ever whitnessed. Cheers!

In 0.11, there was a mod that could do that.However, it was not as balanced as you'd want; three filters used very little energy and could handle the pollution of an entire production rig. The research should be no longer shared even in the mod. Anyway, the factions (we call it forces) system is going to be extended in 0.12, so there isn't just player/enemy/neutral, but up to 64 player forces. What?! Only 64? We can have up to 65536 Players, but only 64 forces?! Just kidding ;) Sound...

My friends and I (3 in total this time) have played yesterday (4 hours) and today (about 3 1/2 hours) and we had absolutely no issues connecting or dropping and such. It was a really nice experience. Last time we played on 0.11.13 and this is so much better now! Lovin' it =) Only issue was one of us...

You can ask as many questions as you like ;) You can adjust the value in air-filtering_0.1.X/prototypes/entity.lua Search for emissions. You'll see that it is set to -0.2. This is multiplied by the energy_usage (which is 200kw). -0.2 * 200 = -40 pollution. I don't think I have to explain the mathmat...
