agree because you have the electric furnace, so why not an electric boiler as well... => which will result in an infinite loop of power? so *offshore-pumps would need to require energy, which is another point...

Why not try to use just one tile of chest, so you will have a small buffer effect, but mostly it is acceptable - only for things like e.g. towers especially in the early game, this is a little bit too much to produce... you get 50 towers then.
