Remove the coverage gap between small/med poles
TL;DR Remove the coverage gap between small/med poles by adding 0.5 to the supply_area_distance because I have askws around repeatedly and have heard no justification for keeping it that improves the player experience over removing it What ? Change data.raw["electric-pole"]["medium-e...

Game crashing while going into map editor save file - logs now attached
factoriocrashreport.zip Attachment has logs, save, mods, and a short readme description (copied here as well): ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi, I was working on designs in the map editor with lots of small mods. Then I decided to go out of the game and add a few more mores by Nexela (some Pic...

Switch 0.17 graphic for iron vs steel chest so it makes sense
Currently, the logistic chests graphics are based on the iron chest even though they are made from steel chests. An easy fixed to help things make more sense would be just to switch the graphics on the iron and steel chest.

Re: Stations & other LTN based designs
So, I either disable the stopout timer or have the catch at the depot right? I currently use Optera's depot design that turns off the station if anything is present in the wagons. This seems like a better place to do the catch (and LTN tracker mod will alert you at the depot) because it doesn't bloc...

Re: Stations & other LTN based designs
Thanks for the post. Is there a reason all the pumps and tanks are not just daisy chained or do you need to set the wires like that (spaghetti fest)?
I may take this design for areas where only 1-4 fluids are needed and change the tanks to PyMod tanks that are 30k 2x2s.
Cheers

Re: Stations & other LTN based designs
Yeah, you have the setup right or the fluids will mix incorrectly. If you setup it up right, they don't mix. That's what all the pumps, circuits, and valving are for. From the designer's notes: "The check valves plus overflow valve is key to it functioning correctly. To add a new fluid to the s...

Re: Stations & other LTN based designs
In 99.9% this RS-latch design is good enough. Using this with stop timeout disabled should reliably prevent trains leaving with fluid residue. To be universal for any mod added locomotive replace "Encoded position of Locomotive" = 0 with "Everything" = 0. Here's an updated desig...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
Pyanodon,
did you mean to lock pressure pumps with blue science when not playing with PyHighTech (as PyRO is not a dependency)? If so, how do I get nitrogen?
If not, is an update coming or do I need to console command a few pumps into my game?
Thanks for your help

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
Oh, I didn't realize you chose not to use PyHT. It may indeed be a deadlock then with your particular combo of py mods. Yeah, Py RO, Fusion energy, and high tech are all optional dependencies. Coal processing is the only required mod AFAIK. High Tech is too crazy in terms of energy use, footprint, ...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
I think this usually happens as a result of being able to pick and choose which mods you play with. So if you were only playing with Py Fusion Energy, you might not need the pressure pump until you get to diamond mining, but when you play with Py High Tech, it gives it to you at the start of the ga...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
The building is unlocked from the start. You can find it under the Py Fusion Energy tab. It can only make vacuum recipe to begin with, but Coal Processing 1 unlocks making pressured air. when you search the tech tree, the pressure pump is unlocked from diamond mining, (blue science). Are you saying...
