Re: Friday Facts #347 - New hope demo levels
I'm glad to see these levels will stay in the game. To be honest, I think I only completed the car level once, and I don't think I ever managed to finish the airplane level at all. But I played the get-the-base-going-again level often. (I remember playing it back in the days when tracks had to be la...

Very cool. It seems really self-explanatory and easy-to-use.

Re: Renaming "Add wait condition"
But "Add departure condition" could be taken to mean that the train won't depart without a condition given, i.e., without a condition the train will wait forever. So this would trade one confusion for another.
What about, instead:

Re: Friday Facts #346 - He who does nothing, breaks nothing
In Czech we have a saying for which I have not found English equivalent. "He who does nothing, breaks nothing." Yes! This is why I think all those dev shops that do broken-build shaming are making a mistake. It's easy to avoid breaking the build: You just avoid doing any useful work. Besi...

I will never understand this. I need to pay for an operation? WTF? I love my universal healthcare. Sure, we pay more in taxes but we never need to pay to stay alive. Yay Sweden I can explain the American mind set to you. See, America is the greatest country in the world. As the greatest country in ...

Re: Double-click on server should start connection
Hehe, so try to hold you on something strong: Normally macs also don’t use right mouse button. And it works. 8-) Sure, but what does that have to do with being able to double click? Double click is not left + right button, it's "left -> left" with a very little amount of time betw...

It makes perfect sense to clean up on the experimental branch in preparation for the 1.0 release ... Nobody is forced to play on the experimental branch. correct in both points, but if you want to play with mods you mostly are forced to play with any experimental 0.18 while the last stable is still...

They're preparing for 1.0.
It makes perfect sense to clean up on the experimental branch in preparation for the 1.0 release, which presumably they're trying to make clean out-of-the-box.
Nobody is forced to play on the experimental branch.

Some responses on this thread however have been an exception to that - These responses were petty and childish, and do not rise to the normal level of the community. I ask that you all think before you next type - it costs little to be polite, if you cant be polite maybe it is best not to answer. R...

Re: Version 0.18.22
Er, yes. Yay, a "minor patch" broke lots of stuff! Any chance you guys can use SemVer and do at least rudimentary testing that patch-releases don't break mods? This also implies checking a player *really* wants to upgrade to the next minor version (e.g. 0.19). Where do you find this "...

Make sure you don't have one of the "special" items in the deconstruction planner, such as "items on ground". Those don't show any special indicator in the planner icon, but they prevent you from removing anything else while they're active.

Re: "Enter" on main menu to continue game
There's a command-line option so you don't even have to see the startup menu: --load-game FILE ...of course, that requires you to know the name of your file. If you tend to use new or incrementing names a lot when saving, you'd have to modify your shortcut frequently. https://wiki.factorio.com/Comma...
