Hotfix for some startup crashes, anyone who had this issue before please retry now.
Also the Factorio servers seem to have stabilized again, I'm not getting server errors anymore on my end.

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
The Factorio API has been throwing Internal Server Errors since the 1.0 release. I'm not quite sure why but my guess is overload due to the steep increase in active players. There is nothing I can do about this, we just have to wait until either things settle down or the Factorio devs address the is...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
Your crash log doesn't actually contain any error messages. I'll need more information before I can help you. What operating system are you using and which specific release of MMF (standalone, .Net Framework, .Net Core) are you trying to run? Also can you run again with verbose logging (-v command l...

ModMyFactory 2 Alpha 2.1 released
Small update to make it work with Factorio 1.0 and the fact that mods targeting 1.0 and 0.18 are compatible among each other.
Download link is now in the first post.

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
This is due to Factorio 1.0 and 0.18 being considered the same by the game but not by MMF.
I will resolve this issue for MMF2.

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
I have identified and resolved both of these issues.
However my automated build environment currently requires an update until I can push new releases. SInce it's a 3rd party service I have no control over when this will happen so you'll have to wait a bit longer.

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
The pre-release is currently the only version that supports mod settings editing. That's why it's on there, in case people want that.
The stable is, while not supported, the current version I recommend to use productively so it's not going anywhere until MMF2 enters beta.

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
I no longer provide support for MMF1, especially not for the buggy pre-release. Use the stable 1.10 or MMF2

ModMyFactory 2 Alpha 2.0 released
As promised exporting modpacks is now a thing. Import works over command line or drag and drop for now until I figure out the UI. Various issues have also been resolved and small improvements have been made all over the place. I won't be taking note of everything during the alpha so I don't have to ...

ModMyFactory 2 Alpha 1.0 released
It's finally here, the first usable build of MMF2! Please keep in mind this release should not be relied on, it's bound to be unstable, so don't replace your old MMF with it. You can however install it side-by-side without messing things up. MMF2 comes with the following improvements: Cross-platform...

Re: SHA1 checksums of mods
Interesting. Thanks for your response.
When I download the file in my browser the checksum matches up. But if I download it in code it doesn't. Looks like the way I'm downloading somehow messes with the file.
I'll have to look into this. Consider it solved. Thanks!

SHA1 checksums of mods
Not directly related to the game, if this belongs somewhere else please tell me. I'm writing sofware that downloads mods from the mod portal. Using the mod portal API to download mods, you are supplied a SHA1 checksum in the JSON response like this: { ... , "latest_release": { ... , "...

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
I've had people report this before. The folder in appdata is supposed to be replaced by a symlink, but for whatever reason this doesn't seem to always work. Please note though that I am no longer developing this version of ModMyFactory and therefore this will not be fixed anymore. Eventually MMF2 wi...

No, use the manual installation. MMF can download and set those up directly as well.

Re: ModMyFactory - mod manager and more
Oh you used the installer from factorio.com while also having Factorio installed in Steam? I would advise against that, they both use the same AppData files and that may interfer with things. To do a clean install of MMF you have to delete 5AppData%\ModMyFactory. I also recommend using the latest st...
