This is how an engine looks like, great!
Also nice Integration of the original design.

Re: Friday Facts #349 - The 1.0 plan
Wise decision not getting interfered by the CP2075 launch.
Also glad to hear, that fluid dynamics and GUI rewrite (presumably BP-Book) are only delayed.
1.0 is overdue, the project reached that state Long ago.
I would love to see new official content (be ist as expansion or whatever) for Factorio!

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
Fine changes overall, here is my two cent: Engine: probably disliked by most, the older style was more meaningful Reactor: I like the new icon, but maybe some upscaling could be investigated. Roboport: weird perspective, though recognisable. Most of the internediates will take time getting used to, ...

There was a helicopter mod : https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Helicopters. It hasn't been updated since some time, but you might get in tough with the author maybe.

Re: Copy/Paste Train Schedule in Trains List
Excellent idea. Chainging/ adding stations is associated with much tedious work of manually copy and pasting mostly the same conditions. Using bp for that is mostly useless.

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
It makes me sad that they are just polishing the game instead of adding new content and I cannot believe anybody actually asked for this. On they other hand Factorio is a great game I sunk 1,505 hours in and with mods it is still fun. Let's hope that just making it look nice boosts the sales and th...

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
those changes seem pretty nice. I'm excited to try them out. Especially liking the new night vision and landfill sounds. It doesn't look like the Blueprint Library will be getting an update before 1.0, currently making it a very low hanging fruit as far as the GUI is concerned. Wich would imply, tha...

At least for centrifuges doing Kovarex this is somewhat useful in mid game.FactorioBot wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 1:34 pmChanges

Nice change for save nomenclature though.

Re: Friday Facts #347 - New hope demo levels
Where is SPIDERTRON? This has been discussed some weeks back: I am trying to hype people up for disappointment so that when 1.0 is released, they can be pleasantly suprised they are not disappointed as much as they thought they would be. (But for real, Spidertron is not coming in 1.0 nor before) so...

Also:
By placing a vehicle into the rocket, then entering it, it’s somewhat possible to launch yourself into space

Re: Friday Facts #347 - New hope demo levels
I really like having a narrative in my games when there is a clear direction and goal. Removing the campaign still makes me sad :( I was thinking since you scrapped the campaign, maybe you can add random objective feature in freeplay levels? Find a ruined base, explore this part of map, etc. This w...

As if the footprint of your multi SPM factory isn’t enough.Waking around will also leave some subtle footprints in the ground, which helps connect the character to the terrain.
Wouldn‘t visable footprints also imply visable vehicle tracks.
Like animated water and ...trees.

Re: Meaningful Content Update
Right now the status of early access is doing more harm than good. It’s highly undeserving of the current state of development, considering how bad of a name EA got. Don‘t get me wrong, I‘m all for new content. If only looking at some of the mods made by the devs themself like construction drones or...

But I do know of guns working without casings! Most large caliber naval guns don't /didn't use casings, but worked by stuffing bags of cordite, nitrocellulose or similar behind the grenade. If I‘m looking at research and especially setting up a queue I want peace.
As for opt in, though quite nice, I suspect ist beeing a rather low priority.
For looking the tech tree up, there are good external websites example (although currently outdated)
