Re: Friday Facts #351 - Beacon re-redesign & Simplified fluid mixing
What would be the benefit for Vanilla , exactly?
The benefit would be to allow for more interesting designs where the same pipe can be used to carry multiple different fluids at different times.

The relevant edge cases where mixing prevention is limiting are, with the flush feature, taken care off.
I hope you do realize your statement makes no sense in a game like Factorio. That's not because you can't imagine a limitation it does ...

This new iteration should improve beaconed factories significantly.
The recent trend to integrate alt-mode or bottleneck information into vanilla is hopefully continued into the Assembler redesign.

Those new mining drills look and Sound pretty nice. Pluses for the LED.

Re: Friday Facts #349 - The 1.0 plan
Wise decision not getting interfered by the CP2075 launch.
Also glad to hear, that fluid dynamics and GUI rewrite (presumably BP-Book) are only delayed.
1.0 is overdue, the project reached that state Long ago.
I would love to see new official content (be ist as expansion or whatever) for Factorio!

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
Fine changes overall, here is my two cent:
Engine: probably disliked by most, the older style was more meaningful
Reactor: I like the new icon, but maybe some upscaling could be investigated.
Roboport: weird perspective, though recognisable.
Most of the internediates will take time getting used ...

Re: Copy/Paste Train Schedule in Trains List
Excellent idea. Chainging/ adding stations is associated with much tedious work of manually copy and pasting mostly the same conditions. Using bp for that is mostly useless.

It makes me sad that they are just polishing the game instead of adding new content and I cannot believe anybody actually asked for this. On they other hand Factorio is a great game I sunk 1,505 hours in and with mods it is still fun. Let's hope that just making it look nice boosts the sales and ...
