At the least, include the information of the entity which caused the players death in the on_player_died event. called it "opposingEntity" or something. Then it could be scripted to announce who the player was killed by to the rest of the forces, if someone wanted to custom script it that...

Player killed messages are shown only to players of the same force.

why is that a thing??

in pvp i want to see those. expecially now that it shows who killed them.

What version are you playing? If you opt into the experimental branch of 0.14.2 It is VERY much more stable.
