You forgot to mention a change: many fields are no longer reported for each game in `/get-games`. From what I understood of that site, admins have to register their server first. So it's not an accurate list of which servers are online, it's a place to advertise your server. They also show you ads. They do get server info from the Factorio API I guess, else it wouldn't be able to show how many p...

make a mod-download-list for each server easily install mods for players. Not 100% sure what you mean but I just made a link next to each server's mods to download all the mods for that server. I just noticed the download page mentions nothing about this:
You might want to note on the experimental downloads page that 32-bit is singleplayer only.The conclusion is to disable multiplayer in 32 bit version right away (0.14.10)

How safe is it to install mods from an untrusted source? I read elsewhere that you can't make a mod to display the current (real world, not game world) time because it can't do system calls or something like that, but what can it do? I tested some more with a local server. Even when connecting over LAN, the game can do user verification via the auth system. I tried yesterday with 0.13.20 (3 servers), 0.14.5 (1 server) and 0.14.12 (2 servers). Only from 0.14.10 onwards does the require_user_verification flag work in the API data, so I cannot tell whether older servers have it turned on. However, for 0.14.12 there was only one server that had it disabled...
