Re: About Stone...

You can turn crystal slurry into mineral one to fully utilize it instead of throwing it away. Then your geodes should last much longer. Also doing that already. But... Yeah but for that you need mineralized water ... Yeah. I am out of mineralized water too. That said I find the crystallizing part k...

Re: About Stone...

You could do water electrolysis for slag, to make into stone. Probably power hungry, but that's not a concern in end game. Yeah, also doing that in parallel already. Did that since the old days already but I still dislike it... just as I dislike geode crushing. Generally I dislike the idea of havin...

About Stone...

... while others seem to swim in it... I am completely out of stone. It seems like I don't manage to get enough of it in endgame. I am entirely bottlenecked by it. Ever since I loaded up Angel Industries the endless research burned through my entire stone reserves. What are others doing to get enoug...

Maybe introduce a new item that is only used by the RTG such as Pu-238.
U-234 would work.
But the U-234 output isn't reliable. Even much less so than the existing Plutonium.

Re: Bugs & FAQ

Ghosted Entities on destruction research kinda appears twice in the tech list... both when unresearched and once researched.

Re: Development and Discussion

Yes, you are right. Uranium has a nice loop, but it will stockpile some byproducts in the form of U-238 or plutonium. The next loop with plutonium is net negative on plutonium, so merging that with the previous loop, you should consume all plutonium. The next loop is with thorium, which will be pos...

Re: 1-to-N sorting of ores: Is there any hope?

So, your conclusion is: Get rid of 1-to-N sorting ASAP?! Well despite of what I wrote above I am with Ambaire on the matter: 1-to-N sorting seems to be intended to acquire enough resources to research the necessary technologies for catalyzed direct production of needed ores. Basically, seemingly in...

Re: Development and Discussion

Also after toying around last night again and doing tons of construction/deconstruction due to the update I again want to point out that bob's item tiers DON'T go well with Angel's components. Not at all. If you have Angel's components enabled then bob's machines/items SHOULD NOT require the previou...

Re: Development and Discussion

The next version of angels is out! Noice. Angels industry now has a dedicated nuclear power loop as well. Tinkered around with it last night already... and I am not sure I fully get how the loop is meant to be played... hahaha. So the Kovarex Enrichment recipe is gone... now you are pretty mu...

Epic amounts of crushed stone is a hallmark of Angel's. You'll probably have more then you could ever need so at some point you'll need to void it.
I kinda managed to run out of crushed stone entirely in BA and had a crushed stone bottleneck... because I never considered geode crushing.

Change the automatic scaling of the UI to be more linear

Well I just changed to running the game in windowed mode and the second I resized the window a few pixels it already scaled the entire UI down from 100% to 75% and the text and everything became so blurry even on 1920x1080 one can barely read it. So I had to override it manually to 100% again. If yo...

Re: Efficient Kovarex Process with Productivity Modules

Ehm. You didnt get the reason. The trick is, start up Covarex ASAP. Which means, use only 40 U-235 per machine. Not 84 as your design. its fail. My setup also starts up immediately once you have 40 U-235. But you probably mean the output... so yes... yet the output is just delayed only by a few min...

Re: [0.18.21] Random GeForce 445.75 driver crashes when switching between Factorio/Programs on multidisplay setup

Is this new computer or just new GPU? It could be basically anything. Common culprit other than GPU, drivers or OS itself is power supply. Well the worn out Power supply put an end to my last computer and I know what that feels like... usually random reboots... That feels definitely different... si...

Re: [0.18.21] Random GeForce 445.75/445.87 driver crashes when switching between Factorio/Programs on multidisplay setup

i am currently running on 442.59 on a rtx 2080 super if you want to try that otherwise you would have to try nvidia support or maybe the manufacturers support is easier to deal with. Ha... Hahaha. The ASUS support probably is just as ugly knowing from experience. If their hardware works then it wor...

Re: [0.18.21] Random GeForce 445.75 driver crashes when switching between Factorio/Programs on multidisplay setup

if it is a driver issue, i suggest you update the driver. there is 445.87 available. you may also install an older driver if it updated recently and newer one does not fix it. Already updated to that one doing a complete clean install, obviously didn't resolve the issue. And kinda don't know if the...

Re: [0.18.21] Random GeForce 445.75 driver crashes when switching between Factorio/Programs on multidisplay setup

Thanks for the report. Unless someone can show we're doing something wrong (not likely) I'm going to blame the drivers or the hardware as being buggy/broken and say you'll need to report the issue to Nivida. It may really be the graphics driver I guess. It happened to me again immeditiately after l...

Re: Efficient Kovarex Process with Productivity Modules

You are using : 9 combinators , 7 inserters and 3 belt scaners per machine. I am using: 3 combinators, 6 inserters per machine When we are doing comparisons already... I don't even need a single combinator. I wouldn't even know what you need one for for something that simple. Just output the stuff ...

Re: Meaningful Content Update

I never noticed any bugs playing Prison Architect and the game ran great. Unless you own a toaster I doubt anyone had performance issues. Well then simply put you didn't look too deep into it or otherwise you'd probably have encountered one of the tons of glitches with their UI, entity pathing issu...

Re: Meaningful Content Update

For example look at Rimworld, it's been adding polish while also pushing meaningful content updates at the same time. Plenty of indie developers have been able to balance the two (Risk of Rain 2, Satisfactory, Prison Architect are other examples) . I've been waiting over a year for Factorio to real...
