Im not sure about the blue (cyan) and green lights.
It is hard to distinguish them.

Maybe the batterys switching from charge to discharge?
Do they have a higher output than a fusion reactor?

There should be a way to search for a tech by unlocked products so you can find them.
I had to click through about 20 techs to find these two missing ones wich unlock the science packs.

You can select researches wich requires Production science packs or High tech science packs before you have these science packs unlocked.
These researches should require the Advanced material processing (Production science pack) or the Advances electronics 2 (High tech science packs)

This seems to be a bug in KDE. (I'am using Kubuntu 17.4, happend with 16.10 as well)
Happens to me with all games in maximized windows mode not only factorio.

The resolution from factorio.ico is a bit small, took the factorio.png file, looks much better.

In Stream the icon is showing just normal.
But you want to make a desktop shortcut, there is no icon file provided. Can we just get a normal *.ico file with the game, so we can assign it manually for shortcuts. In Windows we can use the icon from the *.exe

This might just be a minor thing, but since the Linux version has no exe file like the Windows one, there is no icon is delivered.
So the start menu entry is only showing the steam logo. Not sure how it is for the stand alone version.
