Existing saves bob? An easy approach is make the mk5 the mk6 in recipe and everything, I believe it will convert already placed ones. Then re create the mk5.

I dont understand what you are trying to say, are you saying accumulators boost a percentage of what steam engines produce?
I dont think so.
If 10 steam engines produce 5mw and your factory uses up 5, your accums are not storing anything even if you have 1 million accums.

set starting area as low as possible, and max biter settings. Soon as you place a building 50 biters will attack you.

I sure as hell hope the generation is fast enough to be able to generate even a 32x32 pixel map quickly

From what I can see, the direction of the rotation changed behind the scenes, and then later the positioning needed to get the tracks laid in the correct spot changed as well. You have some efficiency learning but thats to be expected.
The biggest thing i notice is, you are not using teir 2 furnace (steel)
They produce x2 faster, more plates income.

Nice job and nice post. Ive got more power than you on my 30 hour playthrough, but its not enough due to a constant 100 plus big biters attacking me. (I mean... I get no pause in between attacks. You could try the force shield mod, I think its defensive for what you are trying. Its on mclauncher and should work with the latest update.
