Re: I had a 450hours base (0.17)
My guess would be that it's the biter spawners not absorbing infinite pollution. Can you have a look at the pollution spread 0.16 vs 0.17? I think that in 0.17 it will be much much further.

Yes, but you don't want your solar panels to produce negative power, as it could do when it goes an extra 15% below it's "zero" point.

+1
This "feature" annoys me to no end. Just stop considering currently placed poles.
please!

Item request interface - Integrate with build menu
Hi, I think it would be possible to integrate the current crafting menu with the item request and auto trash menu. This would enable users to quickly find the items they want request/trash when they are already requesting/trashing it. For example, many people I play with maintain X copper, iron &...

Re: Latency Support and General Multiplayer Improvements
Like how it takes forever for the item it your hand to change. This is most noticable when setting filters, as even though it looks like you have nothing in your hand, you set what you did have. It's also noticable that the items takes from your inventory is done at a position, not what is there whe...

So I take it you disabled both the DNSSEC at the registrar level and at the nameserver level at the same time then?

Re: Buffer chest problem
Is there anything I am missing to change this behavior ? No, buffer chests are fatally flawed in their priority assignments, meaning that they will never really fill the niche they should have (being a buffer). I don't know this for certain, but I think it's due to the way the game engine is writte...

Re: Factorio Services Outage
I'm not sure, I would've expected disabling DNSSEC where your DNS host is also the domain registrar to go smoothly, so the registry record is removed, so everyone stops checking the signature and remove the DS records like a day later, or something. Agreed, but always assume that someone out there ...

Re: Factorio Services Outage
It's an issue with DNSSEC and its very long (24h) TTLs. Does anyone else remember when 48 or 72 hours were the norm? I mean, 24 hours was considered "average" at one time. I have had to keep old mail servers up for a week just to ensure that bad DNS records are flushed during a server mov...

Hi,
Just making sure, but are you running two instances from the same installation folder or from different folders. This can also include shared settings such as configs or blueprints.dat (via soft link) or other such things.

Re: [15.33] Server not responding, yet able to download
Hi, The fix did not work, well it works, but not as intended. When I connect to some servers, the "Server is not responding" keeps moving across the screen and the download is reasonably quickly make slower and slower. So it just kills the download speed, down to 20kB/s some time... This i...

Re: Problem with save buttons
and used winzip to start the game If by this you mean that you ran the executable from within the zip file then you won't be able to load saved games. This is because when you run an exe from a zip, winzip (I don't know about the behaviour of other zip applications) extracts all the contents of the...

Re: Player API: latency buffer jumps
"I refuse to do it" See, some honesty :D Being this late in the development and being so close to version 1.0, I doubt you would want to attempt what I would assume to be a complete re-write of the user input/state synchronisation system. Especially given the amount of attack surface that...
