I'd like to key the pollution damage effect to the difficulty selection for tree damage if possible. Does anyone know how to do this? If you could point me to a mod API document page that I missed, that would be ideal.

Can't post a mod?
When I first tried to put the new Pollution Damage mod on the portal, I tried putting the pyromaniac achievement logo on it, which it didn't like. But it doesn't let me upload it with no images. It is a tiny mod, not even 2KB. What's the problem?

I couldn't find it on the directory listing. I'm not sure how the Linkmod works, but when I tried to get it to find your mod, it got totally lost . It might be that there are so many mods in the last couple weeks that I didn't look back far enough ...'cept that LinkMod had to go back much further to...

Apparently, your mod just fell off the portal a few minutes ago. I discovered it when Reddit's portal bot screwed up and I attempted to find it manually.

I clicked on a mod description page, then went back to the main page before logging in by clicking on the "Login" link in the upper right hand corner. When I logged in, it downloaded the mod I had previously visited the description page of, even though I had never clicked on Download.
