Re: Purist challenge
I saw a similar thread earlier and I think the minimum was something like 20 handcrafted items.

Re: [0.10.6] Mouse buttons still not working properly over g
Anything binded to mouse buttons 4,5,scroll wheel doesn't work when the mouse pointer is over the gui.
I have MB4 pick up item, MB5 shoot, scroll wheel zoom in/out.

[0.10.6][slpwnd] Mouse buttons not working over gui
The mouse buttons/scroll wheel still don't work when the mouse cursor is over part of the GUI. This was supposedly fixed in 10.4 (I skipped 10.4 and 10.5, don't know if it temporarily worked).

Re: [0.10.3] Item pickup issue with mouse
Some more testing shows other funtions bound to other mouse buttons don't work either, like zooming in-out with scroll wheel. (title edited)

[0.10.3] Mouse problems when pointer is over map/inventory
When Pick up item from ground is bound to a keyboard key, all is well, but when it's bound to mouse button 4 you cannot pick up items when the mouse cursor is hovering over the map, toolbelt, weapon or info window.

Re: [0.10.2] blocky lights when zoomed out
I think this is intentional.
See here: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=1942
Although I agree this takes away from the aesthetics of the game...
Maybe in the future there would be a solution which would be pretty as well as fast.
I'm not sure this is related to that.

[0.10.2][slpwnd] blocky lights when zoomed out
I get blocky light effects often, mostly after playing a while it seems, when zoomed out. I have my options set for high quality, tried different MSAA levels. Game still runs at high fps at this point. Also had this with 0.10.1 but not with 0.9.8.

Re: Laser Turrent need upkeep
I think one need a better gun turret, who do real damage against anything and is mostly better than the laser, but eat through ammunition.
I agree. The gun turret starts out just fine for the initial waves of small biters, but the upgrades don't do nearly enough to make it useful against medium ...

One pump can support 10 engines and you need 14 boilers for that (or 13 for 99% max load)

Re: Map View
It would be nice when you hoover over the warnings that a corresponding icon would show up on the minimap or edge of the minimap to get an idea where it's happening without having to open the map.

Re: Is fuel too strong
That really depends on the map and settings doesn't it. How I currently play I often have to save all coal for plastic bars and fuel my factory with wood until my oil industry is running.
It's also very possible to mine great surpluses of other resources, can't see how coal or oil differ in that.

Re: some beginner questions regarding enemies
I've noticed that they seem to keep spawning bases on the same spots unless a building or object is nearby, so I drop crates in the middle of those bases after I destroy them.
