Old thread but still... Why is this thing not scaling with laser turret damage and shooting speed? Could be balanced that way? This thing is just completely useless in late game vs behemoths. I made a compact base. After things have upgraded enough, it was necessary to increase belt speed. It's worth it to me because they are automatically produced at this stage, makes no difference red vs blue if I'm just grabbing from a chest.. It saves me from rearranging the whole base.

Why not make two items and have control.lua remove/add the other half, one being movement equipment and the other whatever you need? If you wanted to make it seamless you would need 3 items, though. It's about conservation. Having more than 10 of these at any station is wasteful.
Repair packs are cheap enough, I don't mind making full stacks. But 4 stacks? They will just sit there. The bots are expensive enough I wouldn't want stacks of them at every port.

Inreased gun cooldown from 2 to 3, seemed like it was shooting too fast. It's still faster than rifle by a bit.

Fair enough. :) Actually a small correction, it appears I always use the 1 stack of repair packs in a provider chest because I can't seem to get the circuit thing to work right when feeding the roboport. But using the bot count on the port does work to keep only a few bots in there. But if you forge...
