Re: Friday Facts #245 - Campaign concept
I certainly think that science packs need to be rethink, but don't know what is the best solution. But I think this: Whatever you do, please make construction robots available ASAP. You already get the unlock for construction robots plenty early. In order to build them you need electric engines for...

Re: Friday Facts #245 - Campaign concept
As for me, I'd rather have purple and yellow science packs merged into one, the changes after alien science was removed were an overkill imo. Or maybe remove military one and push later research from it to purple/yellow ones? Idk to me is feels like there is too many different science packs. Also, i...

Google 'metric time' and see how fun it was when they tried it.
Not everything works well when metric.

No right place to ask this, but are you guys prepared for tomorrow's GDPR coming into life in EU? Or will forums be down for a while? Afaik you need to allow people to completely wipe their accounts, posts etc. Never seen you mentioning it before and fines are high, so I'm just worried.

Re: Friday Facts #243 - New GUI tileset
Those sliders makes me afraid you aren't going to do double-variable-slider in the end? Ones I suggested using for autorequests and autotrashing like below: https://forums.factorio.com/download/file.php?id=24509 @Avezo there is a better way to implement equivalent functionality, that has also been ...

Re: Friday Facts #242 - Offensive programming
Yeah, so, it doesn't really belong here, but here's the idea for pipes: Make it a network like power entities and then instead of calculating fluid box for each entity every tick, just calculate distances between inputs and outputs and set some throughtput variable only at that point(s). These varia...

More vehicles instead of power armor
In short, power armor is too high-tech and doesn't really fit into steampunk game theme. So idea is as follow: -Remove all armors from game (and picks too) -Replace them with vehicles -Make vehicles have equipment grid by default (possibly expandable by research) -Add more vehicles (especially a 'me...

I can see so many problems coming from fast pipe replacement. I will hold them for now until I see actual implementation though.

Re: Friday Facts #225 - Bots versus belts (part 2)
It seems to me bots could be just nerfed and map generation have some settings allowing buffing them back to current strenght, similar how you can manipulate science and recipe costs.
