Re: [1.1.69][switch] Buildings don't make sounds

It looks like it might be the same issue, but I'll wait for your confirmation before merging the topics. It could be something else. Ok; after application restart, the mining sound and building sounds are present again, both in the saved game that prompted my report, as well as in a new game. The m...

Re: [switch] More control over vibration

Note: Lack of mining sound looks to be a bug. In that case, #1 can be ignored, and #2 covers the whole feature request.

Re: [1.1.69][switch] Buildings don't make sounds

By first run I mean starting the application for the first time and fully closing it, suspending wouldn't be enough. Is the music playing, same as in this report: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=103957 ? Yes, the music was playing. However, I can confirm the mining sound was not...

Re: [1.1.69][switch] Buildings don't make sounds

Does it happen every time? There is a known issue where on the first run of the game there's no sound effects. I will check later today, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first run. By "first run" do you mean first run of application without suspending it (by going to the switch home scre...

[1.1.70] Some blueprints cropped in bp editor (new bp only)

I ran into a blueprint that was cropped by the editor window. I've never seen this happen, usually the scaling and centering is correct. Not sure what the cause is; maybe the pipes aren't being included in the size calculation? But that wouldn't expain why the chemical plant in the image below is a ...

Re: Autosaves can interrupt some targeting operations

I can actually confirm this is an issue although I do not have any specific steps off the top of my head. It bugs me all the time, though. I will work on trying to find some steps. Disruptions only seem to happen if you're unlucky. When I run into them, I will definitely post them here. It affects a...

[1.1.69][switch] Buildings don't make sounds

Buildings on the switch version don't seem to make any sound. I'm actually not sure if this is a bug or not. If it's a bug: Now you know. If they're not supposed to make sounds: Welp, carry on, don't mind me. Steps: 1. Place a building (e.g. a burner mining drill) 2. Stand next to it 3. Turn up the ...

[switch] More control over vibration

I would like to see two separate new settings: 1. A setting to disable vibrations for mining, playing the traditional mining "clink!" sound instead, and 2. A setting to globally disable vibrations (no need for this one to replace with sounds; just vibrations: on + off) #1 is just because I...

Nintendo Switch subforums

"Bug Reports" and "Feature Requests" for the Nintendo Switch version should probably get their own boards separate from the PC version. Dunno if they should be their own category, or if they should be subforums under the main Bug Reports and Feature Requests forums.

[Twinsen][1.1.69][switch] Unsetting certain controls leave game mostly inaccessible

If the following controls are unset while in a game: - Look - Move - Toggle Menu Then the game will become unquittable and mostly inoperable. The game must be force quit. Moreso, if, in addition to the above, the following are also unset (whether from in game or from the title menu): - Close Menu - ...

[Twinsen][1.1.69][switch] Move and Look controls cannot be assigned

The Move and Look controls cannot be assigned in the control menu. When either is selected, all buttons say "The control has to be from a controller stick", and all controller stick movements do not register. Steps: 1. Enter Control settings screen 2. Select Move or Look 3. Attempt to assi...

Re: Markdown support!

Only if it's 100% optional on a per user basis. Definitely. The extension description says: Can be used instead of or alongside text formatted with BBCode And the way it works is it doesn't replace BBCode, but it enables Markdown parsing in addition. So if you were to post a mix in a single post, l...

Markdown support!

There's a phpBB extension that [adds markdown support to posts](https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/markdown/).

Just saying... would be *pretty sweet*.

**Especially** convenient for:

- Lists!
- Formatting!
- Code!
- And more!

Note

Definitely _not_ being passive-aggressive here. Nope.

Re: Where is boiler -> steam mapping defined?

Check https://wiki.factorio.com/Prototype/Boiler#output_fluid_box Ah cool, thanks, that was helpful. Found "output_fluid_box" for the boiler in entity/entities.lua . And I ended up finally finding the reactor output in item.lua ; it's not associated with the reactor, it's just defined as ...

Re: Show radar coverage when using a blueprint

@JasonC, you mentioned "this is highly difficult if the paste / bp contains multiple radars" but is that not also the case with roboports then? You mean if the paste contains roboports? 🤷‍♂️, probably! I don't have a lot of pastes with roboports; but if roboport connections don't show in ...

Factorio items by tier

I've put together a list of items by "tier" (link goes to list on GitHub; I'm sure I'm not the first), if anybody finds it useful. A "tier" is a set of recipes where every input comes from one of the "tiers" before it. Bonus graph: I stuck a big ol' sloppy recipe graph ...

Perhaps you should update your posts to make this clear, then, because as it stands, it is not (to me).
Thanks for your reply!
