Please, just make blueprints free and accessible from the start. I don't mean free construction bots and roboports, but simple blueprints should be accessible for free, stored globally (shared between savegames!) and even work without c/bots in some small range from the player. It's not challenging ...

Could be less -- I just didn't care about any records. Could have skipped crafting iron pick at least, maybe something else too.

Maybe there is hope to have colorblind option in 0.13.xx vanilla? Let's say 0.13.20+ ?
Maybe just few textures switch for the ores?

As it stands right now, I don't think the game can distinguish between a purely cosmetic mod, and a mod, if data.lua exists, it assumes it is a full mod, even if the only things it changes is animations. I suspect you're right. :( That's why I ask about it. Still, may I ask for it? Maybe it's time ...

I suppose it's total overkill (as it is with chain signals). All those redundant loops aren't useful at all, as far as I understand. In fact, they probably can be easily removed without any loss, leaving only one roundabout loop. Or, better, they really should be longer, with regular block signals. ...

You can try sandbox mode for a while (new game -> custom scenario). There you play without character (fast scrolling) and you are also granted initial chest full of items. Easy start of the freeplay game?

Can you add the option like "Easy start" on the "Crate new game" screen? I'd like to have like 1000 iron plates for the quick start, for example. And 1000 of belts, 100 inserters, poles, splitters and undergrounds. It's kind of boring every time and not challenging to start with ...

Some defoliant with placing principles like for concrete? Like, you mill some stone, coal, copper and iron ores, mix them in an assembler into some cheap "defoliant" and spread it on the earth like concrete (with brushes 10x10 preferably). Then maybe wait like few days. In these days trees...

On the last proposed station there is no space saving. There is backup track instead. It could be easily combined into an entrance track.

I suppose in this case it could be *much* better to have entrance(s) from the left and exit(s) from the right (or vice versa) without *any* intersection.
