How healthy is your PCs storage? Can you please check with e.g. https://diskovery.io/ e.g. if there are any read errors? Are you able to launch Factorio from a stand-alone install by downlading it from our website?

This is most likely an issue with your graphics driver or how your OS implements the suspend feature. I recommend updating to a newer PopOS release.

Which mode did you choose when starting the game? Even when disabling enemies biter nests should still spawn.

Additionally are you able to view these failing sprite files in the Windows image viewer? Should be at these locations for you:

This looks like your Factorio installation directory contains corrupt/invalid files like the vanilla factorio binary instead of the expansion binary. Please download a clean copy of the expansion from our website.

These crashes are so early in factorio start process, it's not even able to write a log file. So it's very likely that something is wrong with your system. You can try to disable the steam overlay, verify game files and ensure you're not using the windows compatibility mode.

Factorio sends http keepalive requests to the multiplayer service so its entry stays in the server list. It has no direct control over the DNS requests your server sends. I assume you need to check your servers name resolution setup and ensure it does some caching.

Hey there, we're aware of this thread, but so far we haven't found a good way to replicate these slowdowns on our Apple hardware. So it seems like there's no easy fix we can implement for now. The team is also focusing on crashes and bugs at the moment, performance improvements will come later.

Hey thanks for your report. This is fixed in newer Safari versions, so if you can you should just update your browser. I'm also working on a new Galaxy of Fame version that is more compatible with older browsers, but this'll take some time.

Meilisearch had some problems in the last days and didn't pick up all the changes. I forced a re-sync, search results should now be up-to-date. (Still up to 15min delay for updates to show up because of caching)
