Thanks!
So Oil Wagons are indeed already planned. I hope they are not for crude oil only, but also allow for other liquids.

Re: Implement deconstruction chests.

Well, the current first directive in the development is not to introduce stuff, which can be created by already existing. Now out of curiosity, are you part of the dev team for this game? This sounds very specific, and it's nice to know if that's what they are shooting for. It sure does sound offic...

Re: Additions to the train system.

What I wanna say: What astonishes me always is the similarity of the most popular requests.this means for me, that - they should be fulfilled as requested or - made completely different, because everybody awaits it like so and it is boring to do that again the same way as in game X... :) I didn't k...

Re: Additions to the train system.

What about a Magnetic-Train alike in Japan? As a last, highest tier train, possibly? It has crazy high acceleration and top speeds if I'm not mistaken. Could possibly be along the lines of the other, very late techs or so. But what materials would it be made out of? I think it would have to be some...

Re: Implement deconstruction chests.

@Molay: And why don't you just replace your active providers with passive? It's 3, maybe 4 clicks instead of 1000 of your post. :) Huh. After you keeping on about passive chests I really had to have a hard think about it. Somehow in my mind, I was under the impression that passive chests would not ...

- "environmental effects" - places, that would give bonuses to very specific part of the factory. 1. sunlight modifiers to solar panels 2. rain modifiers to coal burning pollution 3. temperature modifiers to speed of production or ability to overheat 4. aggression modifier and biter spawn...

Re: New enemy system suggestion

I do really like that hive-behavior idea. Similar to different ant colonies. Possibly they are attracted to mineral deposits to place new hives there (by that I mean a hive split - a new queen taking this area and slowly establishing herself). Different traits sounds really nice as well, and would m...

Re: Additions to the train system.

Instead of great cargo one, you might want to try creating an "extended station" consisting of multiple stations. Train would stop few times, each time exposing further set of wagons to inserters. I never thought of that. This could work really well for specialized, long stations. I'll ha...

Re: Additions to the train system.

Err, yes. The split wagon, although just one wagon (one object) is similar to two small wagons. Basically the front half is one container, while the back half is another, separate container, but just one cargo wagon.
It's sort of the "the cheap man's logistic cargo wagon".

Re: Implement deconstruction chests.

Sure, let me explain why storage chests are a bad idea (when used in my main base). I do use quite a few active storage chests, as I need some good to be shipped. Due to the layout, which is rather odd, but I grew into it, I'm transporting different items from active chests to requester chests. The ...

Implement power management capabilities.

Hello everyone, I'd like to suggest implementing a way to handle power generation. I'm not a fan of all my power plants starting to burn trough the fuel when I have ample supplies of power in accumulators to last me for the night. So here I am. Possibilities: 1) Rework the window when you click on a...

Additions to the train system.

Hello everyone, I'll get right to the meat. Let's start off with new Cargo Wagons . Type 1: Tanker The tanker is filled via the "small pump" object. It can contain any liquid, from water up to and including all substances from the petrochemical industry. It would be an alternative to oil b...

Implement deconstruction chests.

Hello everyone, My suggestion is pretty straightforward. Add a new "deconstruction chest" (better name would be welcome). The deconstruction chest accepts all objects deconstructed by construction bots, thus becoming a place to stockpile anything you wish to deconstruct. The chest will fea...

Re: Train Signals - How to use them for single tracks?

Agnapot, you're not alone. :) It took me some 30 minutes to find out why my trains couldn't find a path the first time I made that mistake. Meticulously verifying every piece of rail was a real time waster in that case, but at least it makes the whole experience of finding out what I messed up much ...

Sorry I forgot mentioning that, but I've read those links already before posting. They were not that clear to me, and what I ended up with after the wiki instructions was what you see on the image^^ I tried out what you said and it works just fine!^^ I did however plant some few hundred more tracks ...

Re: Train Signals - How to use them for single tracks?

Hello! Thanks for the reply. Here's a picture: http://i61.tinypic.com/2mms2di.png I put the train from the right on the tracks. The train from the left was on it's way off to the left side. As he came back, he went for the same tracks I parked the new train on. He didn't try to go around, using the ...

Train Signals - How to use them for single tracks?

Hello there, I've been playing this game for some 20 hours now, and the needs for additional trains arises. However, I ran into trouble implementing it - although only few crashes while experimenting, I usually ended up with trains at a perpetual standstill. So, as I started my first train some days...
