Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

I see them as assemblers. They have moving parts, motors, they kick up dust and bits, just like assemblers. They should probably have engines in them, if this were AAI I would have crammed them full of motors. They take in one thing and produce another, they have a raw material and a product. They'r...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

Just saying in case you value consistency, pollution in vanilla is entirely a production thing and is never used in logistics. That's why trains don't pollute even though they burn something and electric mining drills do even though they are electric. And 300w each time you split something off the ...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

The higher the tier, the less they pollute. They don't have room for module slots. They could only have efficiency effects anyway, speed or productivity would break everything. Which made me check - never thought I'd add tier 4 and 5 boxes for other mods, so it turns out they are actually cleaning t...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

Guess I'll have to use it with loaders too then. There are situations where inserters are enough. It's true that you can't get optimal use without loaders, though. As regards cost and pollution: these things can save you hundreds of thousands of resources, not to mention space, by cutting your buse...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

This is brilliant, exactly what I want to see added to vanilla factorio but I don't like its dependency on loaders. Can you make the boxes with built in inputs and outputs so they act like compression splitters? That was the original plan, it was going to be a 1x3 box with built-in loaders like Klo...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

The colour of the beltbox is controlled by Deadlock's Stacking Beltboxes. The colours of the loaders and optionally underneathies and belts are controlled by Deadlock's Compact Loaders. If something else is switching sprites around, the tint for the masks defined in those files won't match the sprit...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

The choice to go a darker gray is what really draws me to yours, since items stand out a lot more than their vanilla counterpart. Belts are now less of an eyesore and I can see items more clearly, so thank you for that. My pleasure. Something is very wonky. My Angel/Bob game Violet and Green belts ...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

I ran into an error with an addon I'm using that adds more stacking and crating recipes. Worked with 1.4.8, not 1.4.10, and seems to be an issue with the mod ReGroup I'm using. The new stack's generated group can't be assigned. Ugh. Looks like that mod creates a lot of new crafting tabs in data-fin...

Re: Factorio should have DLC.

The only ways I can think of to do this currently are to have seprately named stations, have trains on completely seperate sections of rail so that they could not path to the other station (which would have the same consequences and probably even more difficulty than renaming them), or forcing the ...

Re: WIP: Deadlock's Industrial Revolution (image heavy)

Smallish question: Would you consider releasing those nice belt graphics in separate mod? Preferably with bob's compatibility from the start :) I'm also looking forward to see the total conversion :D A slightly different version of the belt graphics (same thing but always a grey background, some of...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Crating Machine

This is how I did it on my last big play, which got up to about 600 science per minute and 0.2 rockets per minute on less than a full belt each of crated iron and copper plates. Packing up copper plates. There are 16 of these "furnace units" on the map for copper, each outputting a blue be...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Crating Machine

In-game I see that inside a crate fit 10 ores. That means, if the mk3 machine can handle a full blue belt of crates, that means that it needs to be supplied a whole blue belt of crates and 10 blue belts of ore, correct? It's the other way around - each machine can handle one full belt of the raw it...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

I found out that ShinyBobGFX was the cause. A simple fix no doubt. Well, there's nothing to fix, because there's nothing wrong. DCL provides belt sprites - ShinyBobGFX provides belt sprites. D is before S in natural language order, so ShinyBob overrides mine. The only way to change that would be fo...

That's odd. I tested it with Bob's Logistics 0.16.15 and it works, but not with any other Bob's mods installed (or anything else much). If you can give me more info about your set-up I can look into it.

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

Seems to be some sort of bug in the new version of stacking beltbox, currently getting this with version 1.4.9. "Failed to load mods: __DeadlockStacking/data-final-fixes.lua:1:__DeadlockStacking/prototypes/items.lua:1:__DeadlockStacking/prototypes/globals.lua:75: attempts to call global 'debug...

Re: [MOD 0.16.x] Deadlock's Stacking Beltbox (& Compact Loaders)

Stacking Beltboxes version: 1.4.9 Date: 24. 03. 2018 Changes: - Shrunk beltbox collision boxes, by popular request. - There is now an option in mod settings to hide the "hand-unstacking" recipes, if you don't want to use them and the clutter bothers you. Inter-mod support: - Items from oth...
