Buffering like this works only up to a point where you have so many furnaces that they will flood your express belt to max. capacity.

They are so cheap and from view of thruput nothing can be compared with them. Well if I'm using express belts (blue ones) then it doesnt really help does i...

Actualy i like that logic. Further out = more dangerois enviroment.
But for editor; wouldnt it be better to make it that once you put player entity down it marks that spot as 0,0?

Re: Module Usage Priority
After 0.9: I still use a full productivity tier 3 setup for special cases, like alien science packs. Tier 1 Effectivity mods for most low-key productions. I tend to use a combo of all three mods on the high priority stuff, like advanced circuits late game. 1 Effectivity, 1-2 Speed, 1-2 Productivity...

Re: weighted splinters
Just have it in research somewhere. I like to have tighter factories so I have to defend smaller area and this would help, because you simple save space with one splitter being able to do different than 1:1. ps: I was also going around this with inserters taking some of the goods from belt directly ...

AHA so inserters can use that stack bonus upgrade only when pulling from chest or assembly machine?ssilk wrote:The chests for the copper wires are needed, because otherwise the inserters can't use their stack bonus. Or fill directly from assembly to assembly. Everything else is not needed.

Re: Question about steam energy production
In my experience so far it seems that the number of boilers is about 1.3x more than number of steam engines to be able to keep water at 100Β° even when at 100% load.
And of course only two pumps for one pipe and max about 16 engines for one pipe.

1) I'm pretty positive that it's like you described.
As for 3) im actually wondering that myself. I've so far never gotten to the stage i would need that same as for whole "flying" robots things.
