Re: Reworking catlysts

But yes, Catalyst in recipes could cover a huge array of things. Some catalysts are simply an item that needs to be present(Just an extra slot that needs an item, but doesn't get used up), some deteriorate over time(The item is used for a limited number of runs, so, a tool as an ingredient, and it ...

Hi, Angel, maybe you could change the setting `angels-infinite-yield` to have a `minimum_value` of 1? Setting it to 0 causes Factorio to refuse to start, making it impossible to fix it without deleting `mod-settings.dat`.
Added/changed for the next version :)

Re: Bugs & FAQ

I'll just remove the check for products for the next version of 0.17. I wasn't sure on the check for ingredients in the first place - since there are so many weird cases that stuff like these checks can break. So, I don't mind not having it for products until some future time when someone finds an ...

Re: [0.17.14] Recipes with more than one instance of the same ingredient

This breaks Angel's Bio processing. He uses recipes where you use a temperate garden (rare item found as tree entity on the map) and get one garden back, plus a some % chance for another. Changing that to a 51% chance to get two gardens would have the same expected yield, but it wouldn't be the sam...

Re: WTF can you please stop changing internal names??

it was bad enough that you changed the internal names in 0.17 but now you are even changing them on a per-patch basis. see my screenshot. Upper entry: 0.17.23 Lower entry: My backup of 0.17.17 Seriously.. I think the better joke is changing the internal, but then making a crude addition to use the ...

Re: Bugs & FAQ

There's a weird combination of recipes available with wood in Angel's Bioprocessing now that the raw wood vs. wood distinction is gone. 5 cellulose fiber + 3 sodium hydroxide makes 10 cellulose paste. 10 cellulose paste + 20 cellulose fiber makes 15 wood. 15 wood makes 60 cellulose fiber. Add those...

Re: 0.17 Resource generation

There are several variable that needs to change to adapt to a changing environment e.g. mods: The base_index set per resource, the starting area amount of resource and the total amount of resources, all set in the autoplace-functions and only partially exposed. That's the main reason people are writ...

I hope my posts didn't seem impatient. I thought I would post on the off chance you hadn't noticed the mining fluids, and even more to point out to others that they could play with the old Inf.Ores version while waiting, but update the rest. Speaking of, let me get back to having fun with the newes...

Re: Bugs & FAQ

So as you all know factorio got a new system to generate the resource (as it does every major version...least it feels like that). So everything broke or at least wasn't working the way it should be. This required that I rewrote the whole resource system, on that go I went a little further and wrote...

Did you consider making the planets multiple surfaces?
And those graphics look awesome. Did angel do them for you or is it your work?
Oh give him more credit, Earendal is way more talented with graphics than me and also has more patience doing so :D

Re: Bugs & FAQ

Another push to the portal, caught some more quirks and bugs, thank you for your patience everyone. Angel did you go around changing minimum and normal values for ores in infnite ores? Let me know how I need to change the RSO config... that 2% values would suggest about 100x change? Yeah min/normal/...

New resource system has been pushed to the portal, happy bug hunting. It includes the ore in ore functionality for vanilla.

I'll take a look at industries and the issues with bio processing next.

Re: Development and Discussion

Thanks for the updates Angel, This bioprocessing recipe is a bit strange: wood.png I guess it's an artifact from the removal of raw-wood, the 3 wood can be crafted back to 12 cellulose fibre to make a wood creation loop. This recipe was a good sink of sodium hydroxide (from the cellulose paste) in ...

Angel, I think something went wrong with the zip file when you were updating Bio Processing. When I install the mod, it doesn't show up in the mod list in game, and I get this in the log: 0.192 Error ModManager.cpp:793: Mod package read error. Error when parsing zip file "E:\Games\Factorio\mod...

The mono silicon is what will be used for circuits and such. I have take a look where else silicon is used but currently I dont have plans to re-add plates, I will include a Migration next update to convert all plates to the mono silicon ones.
