Re: Friday Facts #131 - Roadmap shuffle
I am looking forward to this Graphical gui redesign - one of the big things that just had to be done sooner or later, we will definitely talk about it in detail in the future FFF . All the other things were revealed already except the "Ease of use", but this is something new and exciting!...

Re: Requester chest
My preferred would be : - NULL upon item selection (number box empty) - request sent upon inventory close - logarithmic slider and input box and buttons with preset values (1-10-50-100-200-500) This is good, the button concept is one they use in rimworld, and it works very well imho. http://i.imgur...

So many new shinies! The underground pipe laying feature, OH. MY. GOD, I know it's been on the to-do list for a while.. So happy it'll be in 0.13. It was a real chore to mess with pipe over any distance. The blue print booklet, is just what the doctor ordered! Any chance of a sneak peak, a little gif...

I think I cannot imagine how this works. :) Can you make a screenshot of the situation you want to improve with this. http://i.imgur.com/gHTKzZY.jpg Here you are. In this example you can see (horizontally) a belt with coal AND iron on the same side (the other side of the belt is for the product). T...

Re: Exoskeleton
Did I mention the trains? Few small tips: Stations and signals always have to be on the right of the track relative to the front of the train Chain signals "look ahead" to the next signal and mirror it's condition. So chain signals should be used on the last section of track before a junc...

Re: Why did pictures on the internet get small?
Money! Is the bottom line, look at this very site, a 20mb gif was added to friday facts to show off the loader and BOOM - 8 terabytes of extra data usage, and a big bill from the web sites hosting company for going over the allotted allowance. Also, with social media its the download / re upload cyc...

Re: I propose a dedicated blog entry "Saved Games"
The very point is, besides showing the underlying mechanics, the biggest problem a newcomer encounters lays in early failed basic strategic setup of the map in general. As bloody newcomer, I know what I'm talking about. That is that one encircles himself early, running out of space between pipes an...

Re: Requester chest
Couldn't a brief pause be added before the logistic system kicks in? So you'd set say 10 copper plate for a requester chest, and rather than the logistic system instantly acting, wait 2 or perhaps 3 seconds so a specific number could be set by the player. I often find myself wanting only 1 electric ...

Re: Copy / paste settings within cargo wagons
you can place one item in the slot and then middle-click it. That'll set the filter to the item in the slot. and then you can move the item to the next slot. Didn't know about this, helps a little. Thanks. It's still not ideal however, look at this, http://i.imgur.com/jr0o2fC.jpg Just spent ages fi...

Copy / paste settings within cargo wagons
You can copy paste logistic settings from one box (or smart inserters) To another with shift + right click then paste with shift + left click. This feature should be expanded to cargo train slots so you can copy / paste the filter setting for each slot within the cargo wagon. Have been setting up my...

Re: Right click with blue print
Rather than this, please make shift-rightclick do this for any object not matching the blueprint. This maintains the "Shift as override" control thing, while allowing for the option of shift-left click placement to not override similar placements that may already exists (for example, alre...
