I've been trying to download the 1.1.74 client and the transfer is averaging 300 kB/s, which means that it takes over an hour to download. The CDN server is tyo.cdn77.com (Tokyo) and is configured to have a 60min timeout, so my download stops at 80% and I can't resume it (the link expires).

... My guess is that, as their updater is currently not working, people redownloading over 1 GB data for each update cripples their servers bandwidth.
I'm ... of that not correctly working download it would be very usefull to RESUME DOWNLAODS insead of starting from scratch everytime.

its really annoying, i want to download a fresh copy of factorio.

I click the link.. starts with 25mbits... goes down, or cancels ... game, you have to try it multiple times. Your Server does not allow to resume, you need to start EVERY time from scratch.

In the mean time you could try using a resume-capable download-manager browser plugin and just download the full zip until it's done (if your connection is unmetered at least). Or try using steam, which should have fewer problems with timeouts (i don't use it for factorio, but it should work the same as ...
