Re: [Denis] [15.33] Problem with a 4 digit Train ID

In general not being able to see exact values of signals over 1k makes it unnecessarily hard to debug any combinator logic that works on exact rather than approximate values. Which is part of the larger issue with the values only being available in tooltips that have limited precision and size and c...

Anyone else thrown off by how the radar dish shadow cast on the radar base is completely different angle than the one cast by the entity on the ground?

Re: Friday Facts #176 - Belts optimization for 0.15

Hope not. I don't want performance issues to be governing how factories look. Unfortunately, I feel like this game is always going to be CPU-bound, and there will always be strategies for players to reduce CPU. The game will always be CPU/RAM bound - that's how programs work. If you ever manage to ...

Re: [0.14.11] game doesn't close

Sounds and music play flawlessly for me. One thing I do that might cause this is that I often switch between various playback devices (USB headphones, speakers, bluetooth headphones) during the day depending on who else is in the room (Playback Devices -> Set as default device). Now that I know it's...

Version 1.0 is missing

I live in Prague, and last time I looked out of the window, it was obvious the summer is long gone. So where's 1.0?
Yes, the page probably needs a minor review.

What's the idea behind 30 copper wires in the recipe? "Enforcing" use of stack inserters? (It isn't just plain copper consumption, as that's less than a blue circuit).

Re: [0.14.12] Technology without enough prerequisites

I do disagree with the premise. You should be able to immediately build at least SOME items unlocked by the technology, not ALL of them. For example you say I must research electric engine in order to be able to use storage tanks. (Solar energy prerequisite for Solar panel equipment still makes sens...

[0.14.11] game doesn't close

Factorio fails to close the process upon exiting the game normally, hangs indefinitely with black window contents. Have to kill the process. I've been having this issue long time, it appears to have grown more frequent (50%+) lately, but that might be just me being more annoyed about it :) factorio....

Re: [0.13.17] Golem achievement earned but not counted anymore

I can earn the achievement in that save file if I get more than 739 hit (500 is not enough, 600-ish is not enough).

If the state reported above is not worth fixing for you, please close this.

Re: [0.13.17] Golem achievement earned but not counted anymore

Well, I am not quite sure I understand what you request of me: to go back in time to 0.13.x, earn the achievement, update to 0.13.x+1, lose it, and then update to 0.13.18 ? No can do. If the request is to log into 0.13.18, see that I have achievement saying 739/500 and unearned, then that is certain...

[0.13.17] Golem achievement earned but not counted anymore

I earned Golem earlier, then lost after one of game updates, and it stays unearned, despite what /viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29121#p184981 says it should be fixed in 0.13.10. Still not getting it in 0.13.17. http://pasteboard.co/bcAkldWmO.png

Does it mean if I play without steam, my achievements will be deleted and/or I will be effectively unable to earn them because next time I do connect with steam they will get deleted again?

Re: Friday Facts #114 - Better train conditions

You want to know something I really want? A way to figure out which signal is preventing my train from running. Nothing is more annoying than building a railway, putting a train on it, and then it simply sets there with a no path message. Kinda need something to tell me what is not working, or at t...

24 launchers working nonstop? that's ~1 rocket per second? That vanilla factory wouldn't run at acceptable speed on my PC :D Pretty mediocre size and thus decent speed with bob's/gods.

Re: Friday Facts #120 - Spidertron

That spidertron looks awesome!! Also I love the rough finish on the cement paving. However, when not piloted, shouldn't the spidertron rest motionless? It is a machine after all, it does not need to idle on spot like animals/arachnids... I know its an early build, but I thought I better start nitpi...

[0.12.19->21] Crash after update

I started 0.12.19, confirmed I wanted to update, .20 and .21 was downloaded, then UAC popup asked for permission, which I granted, and Factorio immediately crashed. After restart it loads/runs just fine. 0.002 2016-01-06 23:07:02; Factorio 0.12.19 (Build 17459, win64) 0.002 Operating system: Windows...
