Regarding weapons and damage: I think what'd be beneficial in balancing weapons and making them more realistic is to rely more on ammunition type than turret tier. Let's say turret type and tier gives you fire rate and range, when rounds tell game what damage and penetration they cause. I.e.: Turret...
