I've learned really lot from Casey about compile time optimization: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee3EtYb8d1o

Re: Factorio ripoff
Well, I personally don't have anything against borrowing ideas and inspiration from other games. Every game(and every art product you can say) is inspired by something. But "borrowing idea" is very different from "copypaste entire object without even bothering to change graphic design...

Re: Friday Facts #35 The lighthouse keeper
Can't you just make calculations with some reserve and after every calculation step cut off last digits to some level of guarantied precision? Maybe you'll get less final precision that you want but this way you can safely use FPU methods.

Tech tree and interface
Isn't it about time to implement pretty looking tech tree and overall overhaul of user interface(with the buttons, fonts and overall looking to have some determined style)?

I second that you have to move plastics production to light oil.
Also there should be possibility to produce petroleum gas from the coal, as it done in real life.

Terrain and minimap graphics
Hello again, After some time of fascinating playing Factorio I want to say about some things that are uncomfortable in the current version. Meaning graphical representation of resources: 1. Stone resources are hard to notice and differ from the default terrain(even big deposits). In nighttime they a...
