Re: Thinking of getting the game if there is ever some type of steam sale for the game.

Factorio is a game, that seems to be just one of those thousands of retro-look games in steem, and for that quite expensive ... ... but once you get into it, you start to recognise how different it is from most games you have ever played. I‘d mention its name along the other groundbraking games of a...

Re: Landfill needs a change. 20 Stone for 1 tile? Ridiculous!

What about alternative recipes that allow you to use:
- 10 stone + 10 coal
- 10 stone + 10 iron ore
- 10 stone + 10 copper ore

still realistic, and a good sink for temporary ressource unbalance (too little stone and too much copper?)

Re: How to load 4 blue belts per wagon?

From my experience, having 2 belt per wagon and a buffer chest ist perfectly fine, but for important stations, I use a different setup meanwhile: - all bufferchests for a single wagon are combined with a decider circuit that asks, if there is exactly enough of the item to fill a complete wagon. If s...

Re: Friday Facts #280 - Visual Feedback is the king

The and/or buttons should be moved up half a row, aligning them between conditions (which is their behaviour). My mockup: https://forums.factorio.com/download/file.php?id=41767 While I LOVE nearly everything the Factorio Crew has done in this FFF, I really think this detail change of Rhamphoryncus ...

Re: Friday Facts #277 - GUI progress update

Getting 4K screens is affordable indeed. Getting a good 4k screen is terribly expensive. By good, I mean with relatively accurate colors, high contrast, homogenous brightness, no clouding, good viewing angles, ... The sub 4K market still has a good future awaiting it. I think it would be a bad move...

Re: All turrets should require circuits

As the gun turret is your very first base defence, even before you have built electric power, its a balancing thing that they only require the most basic materials for construction. If you add more complex materials, especially starter players might quickly become overwhelmed by the biters. For late...

With this picture, the game should be sold in a box! And yes, concerning the picture I was thinking in the box of a physical copy of the game. Something that maybe never happens, but I would love so much to do. I‘d at once buy the box, even if its being shipped without the game !!! (Collectors Box?...

Re: [0.16.51] Factorio Ultrawide Monitor support?

I‘m actually using a 2 x 4k monitor setup, and using a single of the screens, everything works like a charm (gfx 980 + i7-7700k) on our multiplayer map (40000 rockets launched, 600 trains moving). When I tried windowed-mode on 2 x 4k screen, it still works fine perfance-wise, but also got the limita...

Deconstruction Planner / Red & Green Wires

The deconstruction planner should be able to be used to remove just green and/or red wires. Right now, its very easy to paste new wires & conditions into a fab with the blueprint tool, but I didn‘t find an easy way to remove wires from an existing fab. If its just a few wires its quickly done manual...

So now that there is a space above the armor slot, where the pickax used to be, will the battery charge display be moved there?
Or even better, both shield and battery could be displayed there as little gauges

Re: Friday Facts #254 - No research queue for you

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!! Well, I agree that there should be a popup about a finished research so you keep track of what happened, but the queue itself is a so much needed feature: The typical process is, you sit in front of the research tree, think about your priorities, and see „ok, I need X techno...

Re: The perfect Factorio computer

A standard PC nowadays should AT LEAST be the following: - 8 GB RAM DDR3-2400 - 4Core CPU (at least i3-8100 / 4 x 3,6 Ghz) - 256GB SSD - 400W Power Supply You find such PCs starting at 500-600€ roughly. If the PC is any lower then any of these stats, it looses A LOT of power, if you go beyond these ...

Its good that you really want to have the higher oil researches as soon as possible, its one of those little details that really pushes you to get blue science automated...
