Re: [Hrusa][2.0.15] Achievement Bug: "So Long and Thanks for all the Fish"
Done a 2.0 Vanilla play through (Without any of the add-on Mods). There it worked with one fish in the rocket. So if anyone is desperate to get it, its time for a speed run of the basic game.

Re: 88/88 Achievements DONE
On my way to getting it done. "thanks for the fish" is nor working atm it seems. I'm a bit stuck as i try to get my first biter nest kill with artillery and getting it researched without yellow/purple science unlocked. (Yeh i could have gone to another planet for that...that would be way e...

Re: Achievement Bug: "So Long and Thanks for all the Fish"
It's not working at the moment. I tried any combination from 1 fish to a rocket full of fish. Launching to orbit and space platform.
definitely a bug.
definitely a bug.

Clear Biters
I finished the normal play through of SA. Now i want to continue and scale up to get the rest of the achievements for this run. But i need to get rid of the biters. Normally i would go big in artillery but getting material or artillery shells from vulcanus is a bit to much for the amount i need. So ...

Aquilo Questions
I have now reached Aquilo and started to look around there. To be honest, it's currently sucking my desire to continue playing out of me a bit, because it's so unmanageable what I need there. It says in the description that you have to import a lot. As far as I can see, you really have to import eve...

Re: Space Platforms
This is my MK3 ship i have designet to reach to Aquilo. Some asteroids came close but in the end it made the trip. I just removed 1 fuel line from 2 engines to give my weapons more time to deal with the asteroids. I can enable them when I'm in space between the first 4 planets. It just needs some he...

Re: Fulgora Problem
Recyclers destroy items - what other way you would want to add? A more direct way. There is a 25% chance i get a stone back when recycling a stone. It's not the biggest problem in the world to rout it around and back to the recycler. But i find it a bit annoying when i just want to get rid of somet...

Re: Fulgora Problem
I think looking for a good starting point is key there. I got an island with a good size and around 260k scrap, after resettling two times. That got me startet and i only have around 20% covered in accumulators (basic). with the whole production + recycling chain on the island. After that i startet ...

Re: Fulgora Problem
OK thanks. I did not feel right what i was doing. i upscaled everything now with 40 recyclers in the first step i', now at 2.6 Science Packs / second. That should be enough for a start. Some cleanup and then it's Time to hit the 3rd planet after i got the mech suite. I will start to look into qualit...

Fulgora Problem
Hello, I now have fulgora finished so far that I get the science packs. I built a plant that should deliver ~2 packs per second. But I don't get nearly enough holmium for the plant to produce it. The rate at which it is sieved out of the scrap is very, very low. And I'm already destroying 90% of the...

Re: Space Platforms
I deliberately didn't look at how to build a good ship because I wanted to figure it out myself. The only thing I looked at was the ship in the trailer because I had no idea how to start. The first version was ok to take me to the first planet. But I didn't know that there were also larger asteroids...

Re: Friday Facts #432 - Aquilo
On the freezing induction furnaces. Would there even be a reason to build them? There are no raw materials (for the furnace) on the planet and everything would have to be imported. The more limited space and all the logistics make me think of a compact, specialized base rather than a megafactory. Ev...

Re: Friday Facts #427 - Combat Balancing & Space Age LAN
I have already played factorio many times. With many opponents, with stronger opponents, with mods,... For me, clearing away enemies has become rather annoying. Simply because she is no longer a danger, but I still have to gain the space to expand. That's why I now switch off opponents or greatly re...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
I much rather prefer the system to be fun but I will say that I'm gonna miss the flow direction animation. It looked nice but is tied in with the previous algorithm from my understanding It has already been confirmed here that there will be animations again. The ones from the FF are just placeholde...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
Why should they make another fluid FFF when this would be all? I suspekt there will be some more things than we know for now. an interesting point that is often mentioned here is nuclear reactors. Apart from very small ones, I've never built a big one because the pipe stuff was too annoying for me. ...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
I think with all the additional features like the Planets there will be enough new complexity in the addon that the pipe system will be less important. But I also wonder if you can't take a more hybrid approach. Like this, for example: The pipe can transport an infinite amount when it's 100% full. B...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
It's realistic that pipeline length decreases throughput, that's how it works in reality because the longer the pipe the more resistance it imposes. You simply need more paralel pipelines if you require high throughput over a long distance. Or you must produce solid products locally near a oil sour...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
I have never dealt with the fluid system. If the throughput was too low, I simply put pumps in between. Either that fixed it or I dismissed it as a bug that it wasn't working properly. I've never looked at the wiki to see how it works, but I've often wondered why not enough is arriving. It's also no...
