As im clicking on index choosing any signal, for example X with value 2 the output in selector combinator interface is only value 2

In 2.0 we got groups expansions but constant combinator cannot be controlled in any modern way by circuitry, can we add controlled statement from circuit network to that combinator? As i'm starting to work with selector combinator i have already hit the wall, selector combinator cannot choose index by variables, only by constant number, so it means we cannot have a direct control on passed signal, to choose which one can be chosen, instead multiple selector comb has to be used ...

ok thank you for your answers, too bad that splitters do not posses api for wiring but maybe someday it will be added, until that day come i don't think i will have any interest to create mods

i'm not entirely sure how that happened, because previously i wasn't setting up anything in compatibillity tab and it was running fine, i guess that might have something to do with some system or any other updates being done, i'm using rolling release garuda gaming linux, maybe something have happen...

Hello finally got it,
previously i was running factiorio like you said probably with proton
so i have finally set (tick on compatibillity) to steam linux runtime 1.0 and that worked
but this is strange because previously i was running it without any options there

indeed, i was running steam beta, changed to non-beta, restarted steam, still same issue
running steam-runtime instead of native, and it's the same still the issue with steam api...

not running proton, i was reinstalling steam and steam native, also had to reinstall proton custom ge, i'm running game without any steam play options
