After using my username for a long time, I wanted to change my username to something cooler. I can't seem to change my name in Factorio.com in profile settings or in-game in 'Others' menu.

If this was not happening and only started to happen after you updated the graphics driver, the driver is somehow bugged.
There is driver hotfix released yesterday. I'd give it a try. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4876
If it doesn't help, I suggest to use Display Driver ...

Since nobody is helping me I've decided to try and fix it on my own. I've reinstalled the driver, use the --force-d3d launch option, changed the graphical settings. Nothing works. Please, help me.

Quick update

When joining a server or playing in single player, I can run around for about 10 seconds and then the screen of the game turns black. All I can hear is sounds of the wind.

So, this problem just happened today. I don't know if that's because I've updated my Nvidia to the latest version, but this surely annoys the hell out of me.
