Re: Struggling With Train Schedules
I'm not sure what Iron1 and IronDepot are, but you probably set things up backwards by accident. Remember that: * Trains visit Mines until they are full * Trains dunk ore at smelters until they are empty * Trains pick up plates from the smelters until they are full * Trains deliver plates to home b...

Struggling With Train Schedules
Greetings, On [0.16.27] I thought that this would be easy and more straight forward compared to building junctions and things :P So I set my Train Schedule to: Iron1 - Wait Until Empty Cargo Inventory IronDepot1 - Wait Until Full Cargo Inventory I've watched my train at both stations and once the co...

[Vanilla Factorio] RSO Map Gen Settings
Greetings, Too lazy to install RSO (if that's still around) :P so I want a map where I have to prioritize Rails. Would "Rail World" be adequate enough or would I want to do any other tweaks and if so, what do you recommend? Also, what does "Bitters won't create any new bases or re-exp...

Help with Logistics Chests
Greetings, I am having problems understanding how the logistics network works. I have several Roboports connected throughout my network with several Logistics and Construction robots. I wanted to transport Plastic from one side of my base to the other. I setup my output with the red Passive Provider...

Re: Planning: Long Term vs. Short Term?
I was debating the idea of centralizing my smelting vs setting up smelting districts for different projects. On my current map, I decided to setup a centralized location for Iron/Steel smelting and Copper smelting. Seems to be working well. All the ingots feed from these locations (That's to the nor...

Eliminating Nests
Greetings,
I am at the blue science pack phase of the game and I feel like I need to expand my base. Sadly my base is surrounded by huge nests. I tried to go out an eliminate them with no success. I was wondering what the trick is, if any, to clear these nests?

Conveyor Belt & Splitter Logic?
Greetings, I've been looking at some of the builds and noticed a common theme: Conveyor belts and Splitters are being used to balance items on the conveyor belt. I was wondering if someone could explain what is actually happening at each Splitter so that I can apply the same logic to my builds. Than...

Re: Do Enemies Scale?
Have a look at https://forums.factorio.com/wiki/index.php?title=Enemies - There is a section at the bottom about evolution that should answer most of your questions. Feel free to ask for clarification though! Well that makes sense; my base is red with pollution :P So I guess they scale more with gr...

Do Enemies Scale?
Greetings,
I am at the Blue Science Pack stage of the game and have noticed that the enemies are very aggressive; doing severe damage to my defenses and walls. I was just curious, do enemies scale in difficulty as you progress thru the tech tree?

Re: Planning: Long Term vs. Short Term?
If you care more about speed and production, keep your old setups and expand with new ones. If you care more about having a modern, perfectly designed factory, you will be constantly rebulding. ;) heh that's what I thought. I think my problem is that I am so used to modded Minecraft with consolidat...

Planning: Long Term vs. Short Term?
Greetings, I was wondering what the best way to be successful in this game is? Is it better to build short term setups and reorganize as you grow or is it better to plan your setup for the long run? So far I've done one remodel after I unlocked Electric Furnaces and I feel like I need to remodel yet...
