Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Using solar & accumulators to avoid burning water makes a huge difference, and if you don't build up local oil processing, you won't need any. Some planets simply aren't habitable without imports. Hey thanks for the reply. Solar was tough due to distance from the star. I ended up importing ice,...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Hello all. Enjoying the release of V1.0 with this mod. So much of the content is expanded and reworked. Wow! Thank you! I've started sending satellites out, and I'm finding a lot of worlds without any water. Not even the "starter lake". I imagine there's methods of getting water beyond roc...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Anyone reach Foenestra yet? Short story says "I soon start experiencing spatial distortions. Space is getting weird..." So we anchor down at the place, and it's like the empty orbit of a planet. nothing there. We do get "Travel Status: Navigation spacial distortions" in the ship ...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Hi I´m trying to figure out how to use the electric boiler but the steam created by it is not accepted by steam engines and I found no other way to find answers to questions such as this. Can you hover over the steam? Is it steam or condensed steam? The condenser turbines generate an internal steam...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Is there anything in space with a positive feedback loop? I thought absolutely everything there, aside, presumably, from asteroid mining, had a net negative due to all the 99% returns on one or more things, and forbidden productivity modules. Biosludge loop is positive provided you have enough biom...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
thanks for the answer - in the meanwhile i did played with.... were some changes but not much of it.... Never thought of using steel barrels as a source for steel - but yes. But still i would found it more fitting to use the existing tank from the rockets instead of barrels.... Not sure why this wa...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
So now i visited the orbiting platform udn set up the research..... So there are some questions.... except the space assembler und manufacturer all assemblers and such are only made in the maufacturer... There is the question are theses additional assemblers placeable only in space ? How do then do...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
So i thinking about playing Space exploration.... But i have a map with significant progress (even made around 100K SpaceScience) plus some ohter mods (part QOL some changes) and i want to ask is it possible (advised) to make this mod atop or is it better to start a whole new map from scratch ?? Re...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Dunno if this is the right place to put this, but I've been testing out some ships in god mode and using the antimatter engines. I've been able to get to speeds over 200 using them, but no amount of laser turrets seems to be able to defend the ship, they all just target a meteor and shoot it a hear...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ph7BqcIUtIeAmXqORpt3U-9lDqGTjlPf/view?usp=sharing I have a problem. I have a full spaceship that says it has no problems, but won't fly. What's wrong? Did you do an integrity check? Sometimes when you change the destination your fuel requirements will grow, meaning ...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
For Core Mining, is there a recipe that lets you "delete" a product? (bit like in Seablock flaring a gas or liquid clarifier) I suppose part of the challenge is to efficiently compact the resources to a suitable product for interplanetary shipping No. The challenge is all outputs need to ...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
I have set it up in such a way that the machines involved with science production are only allowed to insert ingredients unless biosludge is above a certain threshold. This is done using circuit conditions. If your base is a little more organised than mine is, this could probably be achieved even m...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Oops, forgot the image of all the buildings in my former post. But here's a chance to show how the recent recipe speed change impacted the number of buildings for that 20/m design. http://puu.sh/EjfAc/8e3d8897aa.png Version 142: http://puu.sh/EjfMG/d577cff685.png It's nice to see some reductions of...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Lurve, Thanks for your response! We tried 'growing' wood and fish using the growth facility, and then converting them to biosludge, but it appeared to be a 1:1 input:output situation, where there was no actual positive benefit. We're also playing with -really- hard biters, and our bases are veritabl...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
On our server, we are no where near the epic builders that some of you guys are, but we're able to figure out the mechanics well enough except for the biosludge cycle. The biosludge just keeps crashing. No matter what we do we always consume more than we produce. We've got T4 data cards for nearly e...

Re: [0.17+] Space Exploration WIP
Hello all! Fantastic mod! About as good as the original game. I can't actually believe the amount of effort put in here. Endless extra entertainment. We have figured out how science works, we've got universal simulation and are working through the higher tier catalogs. Our issue is biological scienc...
