Re: [MOD 0.12.20] Concrete Lamppost
I like this idea, but I'm not a fan of the way it works out. The current required amount of resources to build just one lamppost feel like a bit much to me. Also, could you post a picture of how much light a lamppost gives? If it's more than a regular Lamp, I'd like to compare the two. If it's just ...

*I'm kinda serious, we can run them over in the tank but its wasteful and burning it with the flamethrower takes time - a nice automated or driven logging machine on the other hand.... Try Poison Capsules. Expensive maybe, but it works. That, or construction robots. Anyhow, @kovarex: nice to see th...

Re: Trees more obvious on map
Currently, trees are not visible on the minimap, which makes navigation less straightforward. Also, when a forest is cleared away, the color on the minimap doesn't change. It'd be useful if the map did show this difference.

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
I'm not sure about aluminum's availability, though. Have it be ore fields like iron, or be hidden underground? I vote for hidden underground. It should be detected with a scanner that measures radioactivity. Maybe an upgrade or mode for the Radar machine? By the way, this means Uranium as a resourc...

Re: Recipe for Iron Cogs compared to Pipes
Personally, I think the game needs a slight rebalance here, as it costs more iron to build an Iron Gear Wheel than it does an entire section of pipe. I think the recipe needs to be tweaked by either increasing the cost of a piece of pipe, or decreasing the cost of the Iron Gear Wheel, such as getti...

Re: balancing the tank (and other small things)
from what i have seen, i believe that the tank is unbalanced. here are some points: - fuel usage is too small - tank resistances should be slightly more - tank is too fast as a (technically)end-game vehicle, it seems a bit too powerful. other than that, i feel like the solid fuel production is some...

Re: Energy Loss Over Distance
Oh please, do us all a favor and don't implement energy loss. It'll only slow down the game, and it's easily counteracted by placing more Solar Panels and Accumulators.

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
You already need massive upgrade of electricity production when starting to use electric furnaces. I rarely use them before solars... True, but even when using Solar Panels, the required amount of more complex ingredients is relatively low. Solar Panels don't require complex ingredients. Substation...

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
This. Electric Furnaces should be built with concrete, in my opinion. This way, there is more difference in complexity of ingredients between a Steel Furnace and an Electric Furnace.anstow wrote: ...furnaces could just be made out of the new concrete.

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
I like that idea. It's nice and self-contained, with 3 more materials to deal with and nothing more beyond that. I dislike the profileration of obscure metals and minerals in some of the more advanced total-game-make-over mods, but these 3, if it's only them and no more, could be a very good thing....

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
Realistically, destroying spawners with atomic bombs shouldn't result in usable Alien Artifacts. There has to be a downside in using such a polluting (and highly powerful) weapon. And I'm not even talking about what the radiation should do with the afflicted area...

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
Firstly it's Steel and you should know then that reinforced concrete is only used in applications where the low tensile strength and ductility of concrete has to be counteracted by using Steel or other materials offering higher tensile strength. It is only needed for a floor if it is a ceiling to a...

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
I don't like the idea of adding new things (ores, ...) for everything. It can be simplified if that means not having to deal with over 40 kinds or ores. That's one thing I don't like about minecraft mod packs. Exactly, adding lot of different ores with specific usage is something I also don't like....

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
Why Iron Ore? In the RoadWorks mod, Concrete is created by mining Limestone Ore (an ore added by the RoadWorks mod), which is then burned into Quicklime. Quicklime is mixed with Stone and Water to make Concrete Blocks. I personally think that method is better. See https://forums.factorio.com/forum/v...
