Is this the planet with the green belts, or the belt stacking? I'm going to guess it can give you the belt stacking tech.
I love the background storytelling and the atmosphere. You could say, I'm lightning-awe-struck

Re: Friday Facts #392 - Parametrised blueprints

Absolutely Fantastic!!

Just one feature request: Could we please have default values that can be set by "Parameter Planners", that work just like Upgrade planners, but set a default for the numbered parameters please? Well, perhaps that's two feature requests in one ;) .

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level

... But can't we even get the old 45-degree angle straightaways to slope up or down? It's not just the sprites for the ups and downs, but also for all of the rolling stock on that slope as well. Adding in the 45Β° slopes would double the number of extra train sprites that the elevated trains feature...

This is BoNkErS!! The graphics are stunning, the design laberinthial and the gameplay just mesmerising. I'm buying SA for both of my accounts! Oooh, and Elevated Rails, Quality and Space Age are separate official mods? So one may play a game with the Elevated Rails and Space Age mods, but not the Qu...

Re: Friday Facts #377 - New new rails

yellow = 22.5Β°-angel (wider than high) BTW arctan(0.5) = 26.6Β°, not 22.5Β° 8-) Literally unplayable :D True. Looking at the anchor points (indicated by the short cross members) on the quadrant in TheRaph's next post is even more interesting. Compare the subtended angles of the anchor points of the c...

And in connection

colors as described above.

This is quite an interesting way of looking at the new curves. The colours show a nice symmetry about the new track curves which then take half of each colour.

Re: Friday Facts #376 - Research and Technology

Given the videos, it seems the recycler can output items of a higher quality than the input. If so, I'm not a huge fan of this idea. Conceptually, it'd make much more sense if a quality-enhanced recycler could improve the chance of extracting high-quality modules from high-quality items, without ge...

Re: Friday Facts #345 - Unit group collision mask & Artillery shell particle

Nice work on both the group pathfinding and arty casing ejection. However, could we have the shadow of the shell itself appear that it comes from the end of the barrel and not from the middle of the base of the gun? It seems weird that the shell casts a shadow while it is in the barrel. Oh and yes a...

Wow, I really appreciate just how open the Factorio team is with their design process. Thank you very much. What I like with how the new design is proceeding: First, I'm liking how the design process is going. Second, I like the "in-ground" design. I think that works well to give the curre...

Re: Friday Facts #305 - The Oil Changes

... Alternatively, it could be an "integrated oil processing" or something, where crude + water -> petrol. The recipe is thus ~3x slower than the cracking solution, because it's doing all of the processes at once. This I think is the best approach. First, the changes in the FFFs I believe...
