From my point of view this concept is showing its limitations and has low chance of getting into release. Implementation is possible but code wise, it is shotgun surgery.

Awesome news, setting a release means you can go into feature freeze and just make sure everything is good and stable. It's a healthy part of the software development cycle. I thought it'd be out even sooner than September, but this works. :)
