This might sound strange to you, but from the things you said, I would guess it is more about you and not about the game.
I'd say it is just getting older. Something changing in your life, maybe you didn't even notice? Are you stuck in a situation you don't like?

I'm not in any way saying it was a logical decision, but games are meant to be fun and after 30min it felt like work (relative to what I'm used to). Usually in a new game, my brain is planning 2-3 steps ahead as monkey brain lays out blueprints and builds stuff. I have a BluePrint library with 7yrs ...

To wrap this up I was finally able to fully recover my blueprint library today. Luckily my daughters computer still had a 1.0 build with all mods from our last multiplayer game, so I was able to drop my 0.17 backup on her machine and upgrade. Was 95% recovered on the first try. There were 6 ...

I just hit this after coming back to 1.1 after not playing a while. I did play some 1.0, but apparently never created any new blueprints so my library was still 0.17.79 I'm going through trying to fix this now and wanted to add some additional info to save anyone else this headache.

At the moment, I have no plans to add compatibility. This mod takes enough of my time without having to try to keep it in sync or incorporate others mods.

My most common reason to restart is I lose interest in a specific factory/map or want to try a different set of mods. Especially if I've been away from the game for a couple months.

Registered for the forums just so I could comment on this. Against the proposed oil processing changes. I understand that oil is stumbling block for new players, but I think there may be a better way.
