Re: pY Petroleum Handling
The advanced tin-chromium alloy recipe is... barely better than the basic one, if not worse, depending on what you value ?
(with -60% energy consumption on the smelters)
It's been a while, but most of the savings in the advanced recipe was because of the convenience of using the molten metals ...

Not there yet, but after Arqads Stage 2 tech, the Arqad Jelly Barrels seem to be produced directly. Unbarrel them for the jelly as with other barrels. WIIRUF, and probably FNEI, doesn't pick it up for some reason.

Re: Amount of items to put in a closed loop
Personally? Bricks and Barrels are cheap, why are you trying to be efficient with them to save a few hundred?
That said it's an interesting question, the naive approach would just be to have enough in the system to inserter fill every production entity: 40 Auog Paddocks taking 5 water barrels per ...

Re: Py HighTech: Nitrobenzene
I have a lot of mods, but all of them are from Bobs and Angels and PyMods. I thought there are all compatible with each other.
I am using steam and just installed the mods from the list which I have found when clicking the 'mods' button from the game (so no manual installation). I suspected that ...

Re: Py HighTech: Nitrobenzene
Borszcz, are you getting the issue with only pymods or with the modpack that was linked?
Mashing together Py with A/B/C/AAI/et al. is not supported. As the modpack in question is made by Sadawys, I'd suggest bringing the issue to them.

Re: [1.1] Nullius: A Factorio prequel
I quite like this mod. It really provides a different narration behind the gameplay's progression relative to vanilla and most other major mods which run on a "build a rocket to escape Nauvis" framing. I'm working on twisting together a trickle of purple science before I start the train system and I ...

Known issue/exploit for mining type entities. Not intended behavior. You can just not (ab)use it, so it's not a high priority fix.
Also works with sap trees.

Re: Next big reliase approximate date?
You folks have a target sustained science rate that is feasible? At the moment, I was seeing if 1k/min was doable but space is absolutely nightmarish compared to the others.
One of the lead contributors(?) to the pysuite is working on a 300 spm build with all tech unlocked and building in ...

Given the extent of changes being worked on, several months from now at the earliest. No release scheduled; Graphics still being developed. Will still need coding and some balance/bug testing

( pyanodon is dead right, trying to scale the cocoon based polymerase to any real extent is a fool's errand.
Well you need to, because you need quite a bit for a long chain of blue/py science before arthurian eggs open up.
I suppose that's a question of what you consider scale and acceptable ...

To expand a bit: There's a more efficient recipe for the Transport Belts that pyPH adds. It substitutes rubber for the other materials. The tooltip is inconsistent in which of the two recipes it uses to calculate raw totals.

If you're nearly up to Navens, why not feed in Fuel Oil? It's a simple conversion from Oil in a DDC with decent MJ value (0.8MJ). It's lossy relative to full oil processing, but it's simple to process and source; all you need is a few DDCs and a small oil field or some drilling fluid.
I'll ...

Most do not. However, some machines in py's mods do allow fluid pass-through, but those that do are not always clearly marked as such. I know, for instance, that the clay pit and combustion turbines do.

Re: Helmod (non-)issue with Pysuite
Yeah, that's thrown me a few times when planning/playing with Helmod. The Basic Oxygen Furnaces take a burner fuel to run. It's better for Helmod to include the fuel demand when needed and risk some confusion, than not include it and have people refactoring whole setups to include the burner fuel ...

To the contrary, I rather like that the Fawogae is different. It would feel too similar if they all had a loop back.
