o no, spitters taking out landmines might be a nightmare and a horrible game mechanic. They do attack them when they are visible/just getting plased. When they are borrowed they are invisible to enemies. What could be tweaked is their visibility, like make them unborrow shortly when biters are close...

I find it ironic how items made for defence can be so effective offensively. When it comes to lasers they are not an issue as the player has access to tank and Distractor capsule at that point. One interesting tidbit is that marathon mode changes the calculations a bit as regular magazines are still 4 plates each. Flame turrets are now 470 plates each.
